I've been hearing rumors about the new RPG, and how countries are the leader. How members aren't allowed to join countries. What kind of a rule is this?

People, you're limited to bands. You can't be a citizen of a country, you're forced to work as a mere mercenary, getting a limited salary compared to 200G a week.

In my opinion, this takes alot of the political aspect out of the game. There's no super-power, there's no deviousness. There's nothing.

I'm sure some of you people who have taken part in the previous RPG's feel the same way, no?

what's the point if everyone can work for anyone? the country with the most G would win almost for certain, and for that matter, how do would we accumulate G without members? :angry: this had better be changed :angry:

You only gain money once you take over territory, apparently.

Eh... I am going to talk to Karn about this and highly suggest a country army, but with a limit or something to restrict the power of countries.

Again, I've been against the thought of bands from the first day someone told me we were using them. They're stupid.

I like the idea of bands. It's a new idea here, and having mercenary groups is a clever idea. Restricting the options to just being mercenaries, though, is psycho. Insane.

The RPG which clearly prospered was the second one, yes? Where Ostia and Tania were split into East and West Lycias. Instead of getting more and more complicated with the RPGs, why not simplify it a bit?

I thought it was a "Join a country if you wish to be a citizen, but if you aren't happy with the countries plans or leaders, make your own bands.". If it was like that, I'd be all for it.

When I first saw this, I too was a bit confused and thought it was completely insane. I hope we're doing what ZKX said, because I really wanna join a country.

Same here. How are the countries going to protect themselves without an army, after all? :o They'll just get their lands taken by bands, since they'll outnumber them 5 to 1!

...And, last time I checked, kings/queens don't have any military prowess... unless we're talking about chess. ^^'' Royalty isn't the army. That's what grunts are for.

I won't give it away but all of our old members should remember. What did we have then that we didn't have in the last 2 resets that helped us in numbers?

Let me broaden the hint. They cost money, increased numbers, some used them more then members, and sometimes the leader had to buy them equipment.

Leaders can buy NPCs this time around AND will also have member armies too. However, the Forum Team is currently working out the terms and stuff.

Everyone arguements and finding out early changed the minds of the team so keep it up guys. ;)

NPC's were a given anyway. We had them in the first and second RPG. They make up for what countries may lack. (Example: no magicians)

agreed. what's the point of taking over a continent if you have noone to share it with?
