Title: Judges

Kyrillos - June 20, 2006 02:06 AM (GMT)
I've been noticing alot of this already.

Judes are supposed to JUDGE. I'm not going to pay you to do it, I'm not going to contact you to do it. It's your job. You should judge ALL MATCHES. Of course, paid ones can take PRIORITY.

What I'm saying is:

If your a judge, you just can't judge select matches. You should judge all or none.

Trace Stratus - June 20, 2006 02:08 AM (GMT)
I think the problem is that judges don't recieve gold anymore for judging so it just seems a waste of time for judges who have other and probably better things to do such as get other judges to judge their battles(XD).

Kyrillos - June 20, 2006 02:09 AM (GMT)
I'm sure we can instate something like 5 gold a match or something. Nothing too small, but nothing that would make lots of judging abusive.

Trace Stratus - June 20, 2006 02:10 AM (GMT)
I agree. though 5 doesn't seem motivating enough. Maybe something like 10-20 gold/judged match.

Kyrillos - June 20, 2006 02:14 AM (GMT)
The last time we had 20 gold a person, judging was even more abused than now. >>

That's why I said 5, it will accumulate, but not too rapidly.

There are no longer official judges-as far as I know, anyone can judge.

Wrong. Only 'judges' can use the calculator. That means alot of mix-up is involved, or judges still exist.

Dragon_Tam3r - June 20, 2006 02:19 AM (GMT)
Really, werid, x.0 we schould keep track of the judges guys >_>

Anyways, as far as the jufging fee thingy I was thinking 25, but 20's fine, I have a judging topic up, hopefully others will do the same, I'm not rushing to do the battles ASAP, just whenever I'm free, yo can't ask for more then that considering it's basically free xD

Arcan - June 20, 2006 02:41 AM (GMT)
Ahh. I was mistaken, then. Could've sworn I read somewhere, but I odn't know...

You also have to take into consideration the time people have. I've judged a little today, but I was working on my character, getting school done, going to my job, and just getting stuff done around the house. Judges have it bad cuz everything thinks that the judges should do everything for everyone else. The judges have things to do too. So if they don't get done fast. Then just be patient. They'll do it eventually or let you know that they don't have time to do it now and then you can go ask someone else. The money isn't a big thing for me. I wouldn't mind money, but I'll still judge. I just have to get my things done first. So just be patient, they'll get done.

If you want them done faster, then just learn how to do it yourself. It really isn't that hard. It takes maybe 5 mins to learn and then you just memorize it. So yea....just learn to do it yourself.

That's fine.

I'm talking about those FEW'ers [not naming names] who are on here alot, and are judges >>

Arcan - June 20, 2006 03:14 AM (GMT)
*Raises hand*
Like me. However, I only judge by request(not even tip required. Chances are, if I'm on, and get PM'ed with a battle, I'll judge)

However, as i cannot get the calc to work, I have to use formulas and all that, all the work still. So you wont see me going on judging sprees, either.

Kyrillos - June 20, 2006 03:17 AM (GMT)
Does everyone need a yousendit.com of the Calc? >>

Death Titan - June 20, 2006 03:24 AM (GMT)
Not all judges have the time, ask somone. If they say no ask somone else, I judge lots of matches. Just no more tonight cause I've done at least 30 today. I'll get to yours tommorow

myles_master - June 20, 2006 03:43 AM (GMT)
you have a yousendit.com download! I know that works for me. Could I get that!

I Have a Sandwich - June 20, 2006 07:03 AM (GMT)
But why do we still have registered judges if there's the calc? I mean, the whole point of it is to not force everyone to be dependent on judges who, like myles said, have real lives. Am I right?

Kyrillos - June 20, 2006 01:05 PM (GMT)
I'll post a yousendit.com in FEW Chat >>

That's fine and all but the thing is there are no arbiters so learning to judge yourself won't help you get your battles judged any faster.

You have a good point there but I think we still need judges to keep from having total n00bs fucking up the calculations.
