I know this may sound stupid, but I can't seem to find anywhere something that tells me what stat means what. Please help.

If you are referring to vitals and such, you want Fire Emblem Wars Battle Mechanics, under the Rules forum.

I mean something that tells me why I need to put stats in skill etc, and what luck effects, etc.

Also, I was wondering: for custom weapons, when it says it increases in increments of 5, does that mean one point put in it increases the stat by 5, or not?

that's for promotion, mixty. You don't get a custom till you promote.
