Yes he can. It's just a bad idea in nearly every scenario. I did notice that his health never drops, for all the lasers he takes...
That's pretty weird... but funny. I'd actually enjoy doing that, personally.

You have to have a gameshark to get it. It involves messin with enemy attributes in the rom and such.
