Title: Official Text RP Announcement

'Ivan - June 24, 2006 02:57 AM (GMT)
QUOTE
Hi, this is Aien, pretty much one of the driving forces behind our near dead Text Roleplay. Well, the near dead stuff is at it's end, the RolePlay staff has decided to get off their lazy bums, and work on a Official Roleplay! ^^

But! I gotta tell ya'll something. We're accepting up to 3 people for a 'special' posistion, like a royal or something similar, as we are trying to stay in touch with the FE portion of the site.

We have requirements, however. First off, you have to be a great grammar user. Second, you have to be involved in the Stat RP. Meaning, you have to have a profile. Lastly, you have to show proof of some sort of Textual RP Experiance in the past. I don't care where in the WWW you link me to, as long as I can see it.  So, let's recant this, shall we?

1. Good Grammar
2. Stat RP profile
3. Previous Text RP exerpiance.

If you wish to apply, please contact me, KuraiKitsune, or Trace Stratus. Thanks for paying attention to Aien! We'll announce the winners when they are decided! ^^

I'm also happy to say that the Text RP will also tie in with th Stat RP. All hits will be relitive to your skill level as a charcter. This is just a simple way of telling us how skilled you are.

Also, since the Official RP is tied in with the Stat RP, that also means you get EXP. Yeah, I'm serious. EXP for being intelligent and gramatically correct, as well as being decent with the english language, being able to descritively say what you want to. The GM's, or GameMasters, might be handing out free EXP to active, helpful roleplayers. ^^

Lastly, I may need a little help, as there may be multiple stories, but if I need a staff member, it will be decided upon by the Text RP crew, Karn, and 'Ivan. So, I may have very little say in it.

P.S: Someone named 'Ket Halpak' may be unfamiliar to people. She's a spriter of great renoun, more aptly known as 'Jamie'. She is also a great RP'er, so she also helps out every now and then. She wasn't randomly promoted, she was asked by Karn to help us. Any bellyaching can be said silently to your self. ^^

KuraiKitsune - June 24, 2006 03:04 AM (GMT)
Send a form like this to one of the Aien, Trace, or myself.

Username: (Self-explanatory)

Why do you want this position?:

Stat RP Profile link:

Past Role Play Experience: (How long have you been roleplaying? What style do you role play in? What sites have you role played on? What is the average length of your posts? Have you ever actually completed a role play in the past? That sort of thing.)

Mary Sue Test Score: (Has your character gone through the Mary Sue test? If so, post the score you got. If not, take the test with your RPG character.)

Sample Post: (This is a make-or-break for someone like me, but Trace and Aien might be a little more lenient with this part of your profile. :P Good grammar is a given. Spell correctly, use correct punctuation, and whatnot; you should be fine.)

If you really want to impress us, send us a Text RP profile. Either separate the two with a line and a few 'Enters' in order to space it out, or send two PMs. ^_^

---------------------------

Ah, yes. Another thing. Please read the tutorials I posted regarding Text Role Plays before considering yourself to be 'professional role players'. I've seen people who can't dot their 'i's' in a proverbial sense (though that's not an issue online... but, on a forum, it's relevant to improper spelling, poor grammar/punctuation use, and the use of chatspeak)... and that won't make an application look very appealing. ^^''

Use good grammar, common sense, and, when the RP starts up, make sure not to godmod! ^_^

Thank you.

-Kurai

Edit: It would also be helpful to send in a role play sample post; a length that you can consistently turn out when your turn arrives. It does no good to put in an application with a 19-paragraph post (I did that once. XD), but not be able to continuously post such lengths (everyone, especially the GM, gets agitated, if they're anything like me. ^^).

For the Mary Sue test, should we just skip the "Plot" section since our character isn't really part of a story of ours?

My question is similar. Do we have to fill it out, because FEW is sort of a story?

grondring - June 24, 2006 12:24 PM (GMT)
Incidentally, what's the time setting for this RP?

sara13987 - June 24, 2006 01:12 PM (GMT)
Ohmigosh, guys, the time frame should SO be, like, after FE6. Like, wayyyy after it. Then it would blend in with my g-- uhhh... plans?

No, it should be 4-6 years after FE6. Then I wouldn't have to flower up any more of a history.

grondring - June 24, 2006 03:20 PM (GMT)
I thought we were doing, like, forty years after the Scouring. :P

That is the time setting.

Sorry for any inconvienences.

*is upset he can't link to his many WoW roleplays*

I have lots of roleplaying experience, but can't prove it. What should I do?

Recant is the wrong word to use, by the way.

Kyrillos - June 24, 2006 04:16 PM (GMT)
If it's on a website, you can link us. I'm always in need of new RP's.

Míxtil_<3_fish! - June 24, 2006 04:19 PM (GMT)
It's not on a website, it's in World of Warcraft itself. So I have no proof.

Alex - June 24, 2006 04:55 PM (GMT)
Can the normal RPers get experience for the stat RPG too?

Kyrillos - June 24, 2006 05:06 PM (GMT)
That is something I have yet to discuss, ismply because I let everyone make their own RP's.

However, it is something I'm willing to do.

In fact, I'm going to propose that over in the development right now. =p

KuraiKitsune - June 24, 2006 08:11 PM (GMT)
Bah, scratch the Mary Sue test. x.x I'm editing it out. I forgot that a lot of people haven't made Text RP profiles yet. XD

Alex - June 26, 2006 12:11 AM (GMT)
Speaking of Text RP profiles, when does the Official RP take place compared to the Second RPG, when we last used Elibe?

For example, is it 10 years after? Or what?

I needa know for my RP profile. D:

Lionheart - June 26, 2006 12:17 AM (GMT)
Shortly after the scouring. That means roughly 1000 years before last time.

Alex - June 26, 2006 01:01 AM (GMT)
Meh. I need to create a new story for him then. D:

Okay, wtf?

Kyrillos - June 26, 2006 01:28 AM (GMT)
As I said, the Forum Team dosn't tell me or Kurai jack shit.

Sorry for the inconvienence, Karn overrides me, unless he wants my time setting.

Ditto. I've told Alex this as well.

I know.

Again, I don't care what Karn wants. What's the point for having it during his era? It has none, and it royally fucks the FEW canon.

Alex - June 26, 2006 02:21 AM (GMT)
The Forum Team directs the stat RPG.

The RP Mods direct the text RP.

'Ivan and Karn are apart of both. The RP Mods decide the plot and everything. The Forum Team has a minor, minor say in the Text RP, if they contribute at all.

Or at least, that's how I think it is.

Yep, that sounds pretty much like it. I wouldnt say the Forum team has a minor voice it's just that not many try to contribute or can't from lack of RP experience.

I'm just saying...

Kyrillos - June 26, 2006 03:07 PM (GMT)
We all have to agree on a time period though.

I'm not making one decision alone.

KuraiKitsune - June 27, 2006 01:17 AM (GMT)
If it was right after the Scouring, then countries would be just developing; a rather nice place to start a role play. The same classes still exist, but they have to work through post-war circumstances.

I'd say we go for post-Scouring. ^^ No one's tried that before.

 You're not helping matters.

KuraiKitsune - June 27, 2006 01:27 AM (GMT)
I'm simply stating the time that would be more innovative to work with, that's all. ^_^ It's one opinion in a pool of millions. If I can't make my opinion heard in a realm that I have a part in, then what good is it?

Still, that screws up those of us who built our characters around FEW canon and had no clue that we were going to be screwed up.

Also, I personally don't like the idea of Post-Scouring in any form.

Kyrillos - June 27, 2006 02:09 AM (GMT)
Between FE6 and FE7.

That's my vote.

Trace Stratus - June 27, 2006 02:52 PM (GMT)
We should be doing this in RP Production but oh well.

I myself want to do it post-FE6 so we don't have to work about creating some plot hole or the like.

grondring - June 28, 2006 06:16 PM (GMT)
When's the deadline for this?

Kyrillos - June 28, 2006 07:24 PM (GMT)
Whenever the hell I make a deadline for it.

Most likely by the time I get back, I'll have one figured out.

grondring - July 8, 2006 03:13 AM (GMT)
The deadline for applications will be next Saturday, 15 July 2006.

I move your deadline, for I won't be here. I'll be in Chicago, enjoying the Blue Man Group [I hope, as that plan is falling to ruin as I speak, but I still hope >>]

The deadline is:

Wednesday, July 12, 2006.

Kyrillos - July 12, 2006 07:42 PM (GMT)
Applications are due by 7:00 CST.

strikeraider827 - July 12, 2006 09:37 PM (GMT)
I can't believe I haven't posted this...

I vote that it's four to six years after FE6.

Kyrillos - July 13, 2006 12:10 AM (GMT)
Application deadline is past.

All recieved applications are void.
