Title: Addictions

Nate - June 26, 2006 10:57 PM (GMT)
No I'm not talking drugs so nobody go "OMG OMG OMG A DRUGGIE ON FEW!"

I mean addictions as in mental things you need to do to get you through the day.

I want to know if I'm not the only one. I have an addiction for pain and I slice my legs (Which is why in all pictures I'm wearing pants...) and I let my Girl Friend claw me when were kissing because she has an addiction for blood (yes she drinks blood... not only hers though obviously.) I have an addiction for pain yes but no I'm not a goth and no I'm not a emo... I just need the throbbing feeling from it. Something that makes me feel meaningful basically. Since I started dating I seem to only do this once a month at most now. But when I first started comming FEW I was doing this every day. I don't want to know what you think about my addiction cause I really don't care. I just want to know what other people do.

Yes you are.

Nah, it doesn't bother me if you have a pain addiction (I actually read a story where an enemy was just the same...but way more 'into it' oo). Everyone (I think) has some type of addiction or fetish.

King Kong - June 26, 2006 11:05 PM (GMT)
Self-mutilation isn't a good thing. Do your parents know about this? Do your girlfriend's parents know about her..."addiction" [fetish!!!]?

Nate - June 26, 2006 11:08 PM (GMT)
Yes my parents know... but I don't go all crazy and want to die... and yes her parents know... she bit one of them when she was five just to drink there blood... or so I'm told...

King Kong - June 26, 2006 11:11 PM (GMT)
Do you have a psychiatrist/psychologist?

Nate - June 26, 2006 11:12 PM (GMT)
I did... he just said I needed to take pills and I would be better... so I got rid of him...

King Kong - June 26, 2006 11:13 PM (GMT)
Just thought I'd let you know, whether you think you have it under control or not, nobody can overcome "addiction" by themselves. The best advise I can give you is to get a psychologist that isn't an ass hole, and tell your girlfriend to do the same thing.

Nate - June 26, 2006 11:18 PM (GMT)
Pondy I'm not stupid and look...

1. Psychologist around my area don't help... I've tried...
2. I know I don't have the addiction under control but remember what I said... don't talk about mine only I want to know what the general public have... and yes I asked people at my school the same question and they gave me your anwser Pondy...
3. I don't want to get rid of the addiction... I like the feeling I just want to make it so I don't do anything worse than I have... (Trace Emo's wear all black... I despise black clothing unless they have some sort of color in it... and goth's smoke and dye there hair black... I don't smoke and my hair will probably be red when summer is over...)

Steriotype. I'm emo and I never wear the clothes. Actions speak louder then worlds. ;)

WRONG! Those are called STEREOTYPES. The most popular stereotype for emos is the greesey short hair and swishy bangs covering an eye. Goths don't smoke, those are stoners. There's a very thin line between the two, but they're still different. . You can't tell a person by just what they wear, so chill down on the stereotypical attitude.

I have fetishes/addictions, but they aren't daily things.

Nate - June 26, 2006 11:36 PM (GMT)
Mine aren't anymore... my are every few months... I feel an urge (and it's not unless my GF is hurting me...)

NintendoGeran - June 26, 2006 11:54 PM (GMT)
Well, I say I'm addicted to orange juice sometimes, but I can live without it. I just drink it every morning to get the bad taste out of my mouth and with a lot of my meals, too. And any other time I want some. I like it.

But I've been without it for weeks without any withdrawal symptoms or anything of the sort, so it's not a real addiction.

Juan - June 26, 2006 11:56 PM (GMT)
Well i used to have one an addiction. I used to and punch stuff out of anger.... i stopped when i shattered my bone

Nate - June 26, 2006 11:57 PM (GMT)
That's how I am with cutting myself I don't do that anymore... I just like the pain feeling I get from any kind of cut...

Well the pain may feel good for a while but you do know htat it is bd for you right? I mean I passed from blood loss before.

Nate - June 27, 2006 12:02 AM (GMT)
I know what's bad and what's not

KuraiKitsune - June 27, 2006 12:03 AM (GMT)
So... are we talking about OCD, here?

Nate - June 27, 2006 12:04 AM (GMT)
OCD?

Puff - June 27, 2006 12:05 AM (GMT)
Puffie is OCD. >_>;;

KuraiKitsune - June 27, 2006 12:05 AM (GMT)
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder: The need or drive to do or repeat a certain behavior that is not beneficial or necessary for survival. Rather, it is to simply appease the mind.

Nate - June 27, 2006 12:06 AM (GMT)
I'm like Puffie then... yes

KuraiKitsune - June 27, 2006 12:16 AM (GMT)
I believe that I have Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, but only a minor case. For example, before I go to sleep, I must turn three times; once to the left, once to the right, and then the last can either be a full revolution or another tun to the left. My hair can never touch my face or back when I sleep, and the room must be absolutely dark with the exception of one dim light. It's strange... If it's not dark enough, I can't sleep, but I can't sleep in absolute darkness. o.o It's a narrow threshold.

Strangely enough, that seems to be completely irrelevant when I visit a friend's house.

Also, when I put my hair up in a ponytail, the hair on my head must be completely flat... if there's any ridges or inequalities in the distribution of my hair, I go mad! x.x (Laugh if you want. It's true!)

Lastly, I must always have something to grab when I'm extremely nervous, whether it be a book, a piece of cloth, or a person. Otherwise, I can't help but scratch something, whether it be my wrists, arms, or otherwise. My hands have to move when I'm nervous. x.x

Nate - June 27, 2006 12:17 AM (GMT)
Oh... I can't go to sleep without eating somthing before and after I sleep... it's scary...

Same, actually. It drives me crazy. :P

I think everyone has things that they're slightly obsessive of.

Nate - June 27, 2006 12:20 AM (GMT)
Good news about me... I don't like to cut myself...

Bad news... I want the pain...

So basically my question is... how do I get pain quickly without cutting myself...

KuraiKitsune - June 27, 2006 12:21 AM (GMT)
Slap yourself repeatedly, maybe. It's better than cutting. x.x

Does anyone else feel the need to talk ten times faster when they're nervous? o.o

Nate - June 27, 2006 12:22 AM (GMT)
My girl friend does... but that's not only when she's nervous also when she's excited...

If you really need pain that badly then hit yourself. This comes in really handy when you have an itch. And plus, you're supposed to hit the itch anyway and not scratch it. Scratching kills the skin ( <_< Though that doesn't seem to be a problem for you)....

Nate - June 27, 2006 12:24 AM (GMT)
(Puff is it me or are you afraid of me now...)

Well that could work but I don't want to break a bone...

(No... I'm pissed at you.)

You don't have to break a bone to slap yourself. -_-

Nate - June 27, 2006 12:28 AM (GMT)
But guys don't slap they punch...

(Ahhhh... I love you too... in a friend way...)

KuraiKitsune - June 27, 2006 12:29 AM (GMT)
(You are aware that this is LUE, right? <_< )

If you want the pain that badly, slapping is the only way I could recommend it. Either that, or use the good 'ol rubber bands to snap against your fingers. Don't do anything more drastic than that; you'll regret it.

Guys go through puberty, mind you. <_<
Stop with the stereotypes! Guys can hit/slap, they don't have to punch. Hell, *I* punch. That make me a guy? NO!

(Eh.. heh... heh...heh.)

Nate - June 27, 2006 12:32 AM (GMT)
Ok... let me refrase that... I don't slap... it's just weird... for me at least... so I punch... or kick...

sara13987 - June 27, 2006 12:33 AM (GMT)
Play a sport. That's the best advice I can give. Hockey and football should be decent enough.

Nate - June 27, 2006 12:34 AM (GMT)
Actually I do play hockey... I'm not built for football... (yes there is a differance between how someone should be for the games)

KuraiKitsune - June 27, 2006 12:35 AM (GMT)
Yeah... burn off some excess energy while getting hurt in the process. ^^'' Who knows? You might get a scholarship for it.

Rugby and lacrosse are also good alternative sports... and volleyball, if you suck at it. Heaven knows that I got hurt enough with that sport. x.x

LoZfan03 - June 27, 2006 12:43 AM (GMT)
...get glasses (if you don't already) and play almost any sport with alomst any type of projectile. I have gotten hit with something in the face in about 90% of the sports I've played where it is remotely possible to do so without trying. I especially recommend this if you don't particularily like your nose.

otherwise, go for punching or rubber bands. there's always seeing how many girls you could get to slap you, but that only works so many times...not that I would know...
