Wow. I just got my results back from the SATs, and I have no idea what the numbers mean. ^^''

Let me give a theoretical scenario.

Say a guy I know got 650 on Critical Reading, and 88% for National Percentile. Is that good, or horrible? Or maybe 550 on Math, or something. What's good or bad? o.o

I had something in the 600s in Lit and need 10 more points in Math to get into UGA. (I'm taking it again.) I'll aks my mom about my score and what's considered bad and good.

I got an 8 on my essay. x.x I could've done better.

An 8? @.@ I forgot my score on the essay. I think I did average or above; I'll aska bout that too.

The essay's a 2-12 ranking scale. x.x

I also got an 8. ^^ Lit (Critical Reading I think or Lit over all ?.? ) was 620 and Math was 510 (>< ends up I need 60 more in Math).

...The National Percentile is where the guy ranked in the Nation. So if he got 88% he ranked better than 88% of the people that took it (well, the people in the same grade that took it). If I'm correct in my memory... Anyway, that's VERY good.

I got just over 2000 IIRC...only 5 in the essay though. I got a really stupid topic IMO plus I didn't get to finish <_< got to love those standerdized tests though :P

Max score on an SAT's 2400, Max on each section is 800, and you get an automatic 200 points for writing your name down, XD.

no, I think you write your name into every section, so it's really 600 for names and 1800 for questions/essays

I got a 660 on critical reading, 580 on math, and 580 on writing. I expect better on all of them except for writing. I consider myself to be a good writer, but not a good timed writer.

I got 800 math on a practice test once, and they says practice tests are harder than the actual thing...
