I mean like a profile or something. Lucifer is the fallen angel. Satan is pretty well known. Mammon is like the son of Lucifer. Beelzebub is......well, I forgot. But I don't know wh othose others are.
Juan - June 30, 2006 07:35 PM (GMT)
In The Satanic Bible, subsequently the final section, the "Book of Leviathan", authored by Anton LaVey, and according to most Satanist groups, particularly LaVeyan Satanism, Leviathan is one of the "Four Crown Princes" and represents the number three, the color blue, man's carnal side and the human element chaos. There, Leviathan's element is water, water being that which human forms are primarily created of. This representing the unity of matter and anti-matter, chaos and order, yin with yang, and Leviathan's direction is west, west being used to represent chaos and disorder.
Il put the others up in a sec.
For other entries that use this name, see Belphegor (disambiguation).
Picture of demon BelphegorIn demonology, Belphegor (or Beelphegor) is a demon who helps people to make discoveries. He seduces people by suggesting to them ingenious inventions that will make them rich. According to some 16th century demonologists his power is stronger in April. Bishop and witch-hunter Peter Binsfeld believed that Belphegor tempts by means of laziness.
In the Malleus Maleficarum (1486), he was considered the demon of lust, to which agreed Sebastian Michaelis saying that his adversary is St. John. To some demonologists of the 16th Century, that assigned each month to a demon, Asmodai's power is stronger in November. According to other demonologists his zodiacal sign is Aquarius but only between the dates of January 30 and February 8, he has seventy-two legions of demons under his command, and is one of the kings of Hell (Lucifer being the emperor). They also add to his mission that of inciting gambling, as he was said to be overseer of all the gambling houses in the court of Hell; and some Catholic theologians compared him with Abaddon. To other authors this demon is considered a prince of revenge and protector of male homosexuals, homosexuality being one of his methods of seduction. In the Dictionnaire Infernal by Collin de Plancy he is depicted with the chest of a man, cock legs, serpent tail, three heads (one of a man spitting fire, one of a ram, and one of a bull), riding a lion with dragon wings and neck, all of these creatures being associated with either lasciviousness, lust or revenge.

Broken on the wheel? Wtf?
Lucifer. King of the underworld/Fallen Angel. Everybody knows that Satan just does his dirty work B). I'll take it!

Waaaait... No wonder I'm not religious. There's a difference between Lucifer and Satan? (Sad thing is, I'm dead serious..)

The wheel means that you will be stretched until all your bones are broken.

Oh. That's kinda...not ironic in any way whatsoever.

Bleh. I'd probably agree with that, but I'm feeling morbid and depressed-ish.
What you can't see while you're alive can't hurt you either way; dead or alive, that is. And while you have someone that loves you and that you love, that "pain" will always be set back a few notches...

(I got lotsa information! I love this topic. XD)
Actually, according to Dante's Inferno, the punishments are as follows:
Lust: They are forever spun in a tempest of chaos and molestation, which tortures them for their past lust; they are, to put it bluntly, forever left with the 'blue balls' sensation. ^^'' They will never be put to rest or ever achieve the most rewarding part of their sin. ^^
Gluttony: They are placed within a cesspit of human waste and ice, torn at by Cerberus... I think. :o Cerberus was said to have a belly that was forever bloated, so it ate the flesh of the damned in order to keep its belly full. To have an empty-bellied Cerberus must be bad. :o
Greed: ...I can't recall. ^^''
Wrath: Those who are wrathful and/or gloomy are thrown into the river Styx, where the wrathful tear at each other with their teeth as bidden by their violent tendencies and the sorrowful wallow with their heads in the mud, their prone forms trampled beneath the wounded and bloodied feet of the wrathful.
Especially violent indivuals are tossed in a boiling river of blood, where they are placed in depth according to their violence. The luckiest barely have their ankles covered in blood, while the most bloodthirsty individuals are submerged up until their eyes. Men who try to wade to shallower depths are shot by the arrows of centaurs, who are immune to the blood's influence. They are forever damned to steep in the blood of those they killed.
Envy: I don't believe there's a punishment specifically for this, but for the ramifications of the actions that you did as a result of envy. :o
Pride: Hm. Again, they're not specific.
--
Thieves have my favorite punishment, and are the ones supposedly tossed into a pit of vipers. Because of their sins in the past, they are thrown into a pit filled with serpents, who bite their belly buttons in order to steal half of their bodies; the men become half-serpent, and the serpents become half-men. By the time they spend a day within the pit, no man can say what they truly own anymore, for even their own bodies are taken from them.
Heretics are burned in the Desert of the Lost, looming beneath an oppressive sun, scorching sands, and never-ending storms of falling brimstone and a hail of fiery stones.
Hipocrites are doomed to forever walk in a circle behind one another, wearing robes that look grand on the outside but laden with lead on the inside. Because of this, the others see their supposed grandeur while they continue to suffer beneath the weight of their hipocrisy. Those who fall under their facades are trampled forevermore underfoot by other hipocrites, who care not if one of their number falls.
Hoarders and wasters forever push a heavy stone back and forth, with each yelling to the other, "Why do you hoard? Why do you waste?"
Those who commit suicide are thrown into the Wood of Suicides, where they become trees. Having abandoned their own bodies on earth, they are given the forever prone shells of trees. Harpies nest in their branches, tearing at their newfound flesh to gorge themselves on the trees' blood... when Dante entered this realm of Hell and snapped off a twig, it bled as a result.
The traitors are thrown into the lowest circle, where they are frozen in ice according to their treachery. Traitors to their kin are the lowest, with their entire bodies being frozen while still alive, while the traitors to their country (I think...) have their entire heads above the ice, where they are able to turn their heads away from the blustering cold winds. To cry in this place of pain is impossible for the utmost damned, but the luckiest are able to cry only if they turn away from the winds. Otherwise, their own tears seal their eyes shut in a chrysallis of frost.
---
Leviathan was the lover of Behemoth, the demon of the Earth. Behemoth was a massive beast, which was often depicted as an elephant-like creature of massive strength and physical intimidation. Leviathan is often reputed to be a female serpent of the seas, with her power to control the waves striking terror into sailors and seagoers alike. When God realized their relation, he split them apart, tearing land and sea into two seperate realms forevermore.
Leviathan could only speak underwater, while Behemoth could only speak on land. Neither could understand one another, and they were lost to each others' embrace forevermore.
I recall Belial being one of the Seven (for Envy, I believe)...

Pretty much the same idea for the wratthfull.. But, pretty much, the gloomy become ostriches..?
KuraiKitsune - July 2, 2006 03:47 AM (GMT)
Whoops. XD What I meant to write was that, while their bodies were being trampled underfoot, they try unavailingly to raise their heads from the sea of mud. In other words, their bodies and heads are trampled, but they keep trying to stand up against it. So, whether they succeed or not in removing their bodies from the mud, their heads are forever stuck beneath the murky depths.
