'Ivan- Head of RPG, keep him for that.
Alex - Not needed, demote completely. He's lazy, and a bad staffer. Completely off the actual staff, I mean. Forum Team, fine.
Eastern Blade Alchemist- Non needed as admin. Demote to G-mod because he IS very active, and did a lot in Mod CP.
Karn- Root. Keep. Duh.
Kipdog- Rarely on. Demote completely.

grondring- Only needed for RPG boards. Demote.
King- Only needed for RPG boards. Demote.
strikeraider827- I could honestly see Strike being a strong admin. He doesn't up with a lot of bullshit. Keep him, POSSIBLY premote him.
The Entertainer- I love you Mike, but I think you should get power over the RPG boards like the other Forum Team
Trace Stratus- Hm. He's an intelligent guy, but isn't overly active. I'd suggest power only over RPG boards, BUT access to staff room.
~Ultima~- Quiet, relatively unbiased, he's a good G-mod. Keep him there.

I know that will never happen though, unfortunately. :/ I might as well suggest it though. HONESTLY, if Aien can go for a few months without a total mood swing, he could make a decent G-mod, but with his emotion so unstable, I'd say wait a while.

Why less staff would be better? Nothing gets done. I think because there ARE so many staffers, people think they have to do less. It shouldn't work that way, they should do the same ammount of work so more gets done. I've linked people to stuff that needed to be moderated and gotten "Get someone else to do it," so many times. I know people are like "OMG INTRANET SRS BUZNESS," but as a staff on this forum you SHOULD take it seriously, or demote yourself. Pretty fucking simple.

Second: Stop all the bullshit in RI. It can get a little crazy, but there's a limit. Try and crack down on spammy topics more quickly. Also, the staff shouldn't be acting like fucking retards in RI. Again, "OMG INTERNET SRS BUZ." It should be serious when you're on the staff.

Third: Fuck the skin changer. Go to avid blue only. I'll make more graphics for it, etc.

Fourth: Karn, stop being such a pussy. You care too much what other people think. Even if it's for the forum's best interests in the long run. If premoting someone will upset people? Big deal. If the person is competent and gets the job done, premote them. If demoting staff upsets people? Big deal. It's for the good of the forum in the long run.

Also, if people leave? Not your problem. Do we really want a bunch of blubbering pussies on our forum? I would understand if you left because someone like Dark Hero was premoted, or all the best staffers got demoted. I wouldn't leave still, but regardless.

Also, enough with this biased bull shit. Females should get warned just the same as males. 'Ivan's best friend should get warned just the same as Dark Hero. I was somewhat biased on the staff, favouring Grady. I shouldn't have been though, that was a flaw. So yea, stop. I like Mike as a friend, but I'm saying he should get demoted. Hell, it was my idea to premote him in the first place. I'm just realizing now how over staff FEW is.

I'll bring up more points later probably. But no bull shit in this topic.

One other thing, directed at Karn. That bullshit about "I'm waiting to do it all at once" is stupid. That makes the work load larger, you fucking twit. Do it when it's needed. That way maybe this place will actually make some fucking progress. The fact FEF cancelled our affiliation cause we sucked is a bad sign, because they suck ASS. I'm banned from FEF, I don't like it that much, but they're better than here, sadly.

Alex, Luis, and Kipdog need to be demoted. Luis should go back to a G-Mod, and Kipdog should be demoted completely. He is just...there. He does nothing as an admin except close topics. Alex...same. He is the third-worst staff member ever. (Worst is King, followed by Kipdog)
'Ivan and Karn should stay admins. They've guided FEW through near everything and hopefully will continue to do so.
Strike should become an admin again. I don't like him much, but I don't hate him. He was a great kickass admin.

Hiei, thank you for your suggestions and your good intentions. No matter how competent they may be, though, to achieve them it would be wiser to be civil, and not blunt. Case in point: you've been blunt in this topic, and this topic has degenerated into a dispute over who's right, who's wrong, who's biased, who's incompetent, who's a fuckhead, who's an attention whore, and so on - not exactly productive.

You mentioned that Karn cares too much about what people think. People's opinions are a tricky issue. Much as we all wish we could be Clint Eastwood, rugged and independent, that's seldom the reality in life and that's seldom the reality when you're running a forum. What's the point of a forum? To be honest, we're in the entertainment business. We entertain people with games, RPG's, socialization, and so forth. And in the entertainment business, people's opinions matter, because unhappy people are unentertained people.

That said, sometimes it's necessary to make unpopular decisions, but general opinion is not to be thrown aside lightly.

As for your other issues...

1. The staff is, in fact, in the middle of reorganizing its structure and has been for about two weeks now. They're taking their sweet time about it, sure, but they're getting to it, and hopefully some of the points you've brought up will be incorporated.

Honestly, though, there really isn't very much going on in the ACP nowadays. There are few, if any, things that need changing using the ACP. All we need admins for is to make sure that when something does need changing, it won't take long to find someone to change it. As for the global moderators, the reason there are so many of them is that most (five of the seven, I think) are actually in the group Forum Team Associates, which for some reason has global moderator powers. Frankly, most of our work consists of discussing, brainstorming, writing, posting updates, and so on. While we need to see the Production forum, we don't need any powers.

Concerning how seriously staff should take their job, the answer should be exactly as seriously as is necessary to get the job done. Of course, there's a problem in that in many cases people's jobs are really not very well defined. Some people can prance around making bad jokes and grinning but still be exceedingly competent, while others need to devote all their effort just to do a passable job. The staff doesn't necessarily all have to be stiff, by-the-book types to get their job done; in fact, I think that's what distinguishes FEW from many other forums in that our staff can be casual about their work.

That doesn't mean we should act like idiots, though. Which of course comes in degrees. Am I an idiot for making bad jokes and grinning a lot? Maybe. What matters is that the staff, no matter how easygoing they might be, both gets the job done and maintains at least some dignity. (Otherwise who's going to listen to them?)

2. I disagree. The purpose of Random Insanity is for people to act silly and spammy. It's sort of a place for people to release their inner buffoon. :P I've seen similar places on other forums. One particularly memorable one from a long time ago had a subforum specifically designed for cursing. Their profanity rules were considerably stricter than ours, but they had a special subforum where you could go and scream your lungs out.

For my opinions on how staff should act in Random Insanity, see the last paragraph of the last issue. (Beginning with "that doesn't mean we should act like idiots, though.")

3. Again, I disagree. Why not have the skin changer? It's not doing any harm. Of all your points, this is the only one I totally disagree with. I use Avid Blue, but that doesn't mean that I believe everyone else should too. If someone prefers another skin, then why not give them the choice to use it?

4. I discussed popular opinion already. Third and fourth paragraphs. Beginning with "You mentioned that Karn cares too much about what people think."

Concerning people leaving, as I said, as a forum, our job is to entertain people. People leaving are people unentertained. A genius and an imbecile both give us the same number of page hits. The staff's job is not to judge people's character.

I personally think the "bias" in warnings is due to a lack of solid guidelines. Also, we don't have enough Global Moderators. (I'm not talking about global moderators, which is anybody with universal moderator powers. I'm talking about people with the specific group "Global Moderators" and the specific job of globally moderating.) I actually proposed putting up a set of strict guidelines on how to enforce the rules, but I think it got shot down.

Finally: blunt is one thing, but calling the root admin a "fucking twit" is another. If you want you and your suggestions to be treated civilly, then you should treat people civilly. It's simply expedient; if people don't like you, they won't listen to you. :P It's not right, but it's how the world works.
