Title: Elected Advisors and Staff Changes.

Alex - July 6, 2006 12:47 AM (GMT)
The whole staff agreed that Kipdog was too inactive to be an admin and Kipdog has been demoted. The FEW Staff appreciates his contributions to the forums. :)

Alex have been promoted to Root Admin due to 'Ivan's resignation and departure.

The Forum Team has also recently lost their G-Mod powers from their temporary promotion from the reset.

With all of these demotions, the current staff has decided it would be a good idea to create a new position, Elected Advisors. What exactly is an Elected Advisor? A member who has access to the Staff Forum and has as much a say in matters as G-Mods. They can also offer their suggestions in the Staff Forum. There will be two elected advisors at a time.

The election process itself is relatively simple. First, members have a set amount of time for the nominating themselves if they aspire to be an Elected Advisor. Please note, you can't nominate somebody else, only yourself. Second, a topic is created for each nominee and the members and staff members have a chance to give their signature for anybody they feel would be a good advisor. Members can't sign their own topic! In order to advance to the next step, a nominee needs three signatures of a non-staff member and two signature from a staff member. A staff member is a G-Mod or an Admin, there are currently 5 of those right now. The last step is the final poll. Everybody who passed the second step is placed on the poll. Everybody gets two votes at the maximum and they simply can vote for the best choices in their opinion. The two with the highest votes become an Elected Advisor. Tie-breaking rules are undecided as of now. :P

So right now, we are accepting the self-nominations for the two Elected Advisor positions! Post here with your self-nomination! The self-nomination may contain a spiel, which is highly recommended, as to why people should give you their signature (and vote), which will also be posted in the Signature topic. The current deadline, which may possibly be extended, is July 8.

I nominate myself, because I can be mature and helpful. o_o

Congrats Alex. :o :o :o

3 admins. <3 Awsome.

Bosco - July 6, 2006 12:54 AM (GMT)
I'm going to self-elect myself.

I understand that I act inmature very often. Well, I'm done with joking around. I can see the potential in this place, and I want to help it. I think I can help in many ways, including the site. I feel I can bring a lot to the table here at FEW. I think most staffers seem to think the same way. I would also like to add a variety of opinions to your staff board. From previous experiences, I KNOW I can pull through for you there. x_X So I thought I'd try this.

EDIT: Ah, I must apologize. With my eagerness to elect myself I forgot to congratulate you Alex! I believe you were the most worthy of the position and I'm sure you will do a great job as ROOT.

Puff - July 6, 2006 12:56 AM (GMT)
Just congratulating Alex on his promotion.

Juan - July 6, 2006 12:59 AM (GMT)
I would like to nominate myself. I may not look like the bst chice but I am willing to help this forum out as much as I possibly can. And I am also very active in the Forum. Thanks for your time.

myles_master - July 6, 2006 01:06 AM (GMT)
I would also like to nominate myself. I think I can help the forum in many different ways that I am capable of doing. I'm also VERY active on the site and now that I'm done with school I'll be even more active.

Congrats Alex. Way to go!

Arcan - July 6, 2006 01:07 AM (GMT)
I am nominating myself.

Also, congrats to Alex, and sorry Kip, but you just weren't active enough :(

Lionheart - July 6, 2006 01:12 AM (GMT)
Just need to add something in. For the most part, staffers that resign or are demoted will be allowed to see the staff room through the new group. Unless, of course, they do not wish to or are unable to come back to FEW.

Second, in the nominations, please don't bug people to sign your nominations.

Meh, too inactive, nothing to be sorry about, if anything I should be sayin sorry to everyone for bein inactive. :P

Joshua Johnson - July 6, 2006 02:08 AM (GMT)
I'll nominate myself. I know I'm not the most "liked" around here, as I'm not so popular with a select group of people, but I'd do my best to help make this forum achieve it's fullest potential! :P

Puff - July 6, 2006 02:11 AM (GMT)
Dare I say I nominate myself?

King Kong - July 6, 2006 02:19 AM (GMT)
I'll nominate myself as long as it doesn't lower my chances of becoming G-Mod.because I currently am and have been a Forum Team Associate for quite some time, I had a small taste of Global Moderator powers, and I handled them well, along with being able to control myself and post with near-perfect grammar and intellect.

Kaden - July 6, 2006 02:23 AM (GMT)
I'll nominate myself, I'mma dominate bosco Pondy with my godly GF Admin mind.

And I'll dominate you with my GF admin, FEF Global moderator/Advisor/Webmaster mind. =x

Zephyr - July 6, 2006 06:17 AM (GMT)
EDIT: Nvm.

grondring - July 6, 2006 12:01 PM (GMT)
Er. Just in case this wasn't explicitly clear - you'll have as much say in matters at G-mods, but you won't actually have any G-mod powers. As for how much say G-mods actually have... :P

Missy_Roxx_Meh_Soxx - July 6, 2006 12:35 PM (GMT)
I'd like to nominate myself. I'm very active, and know how to run a forum. Plus, I think I can help FEW into it's "golden years".

Congrats to the staffers.

SpiralStatic - July 6, 2006 02:00 PM (GMT)
I nominate myself. Why you ask? Because, I daresay I'm well respected around here, and I think I have much to contribute to the staff. 'Nuff said.

Omega - July 6, 2006 02:30 PM (GMT)
I nominate myself. I think I could help this site along if I'm elected.

LoZfan03 - July 6, 2006 02:47 PM (GMT)
lol, I'm not even going to bother. maybe next time around

Puff - July 6, 2006 04:39 PM (GMT)
You know what? Nevermind... Scratch me off the list of self-nominees.

Esgalglinion - July 6, 2006 05:28 PM (GMT)
I guess I could nominate myself. But as an advisor, Sara could probably do a good job (though she'll kill me for nominating her).

sara13987 - July 6, 2006 05:32 PM (GMT)
I've no interest in the job, plain and simple. -_-

Congrats to Alex for his promotion though~!~!!! ^_^

Míxtil_<3_fish! - July 6, 2006 06:12 PM (GMT)
I nominate myself.

I may not be the most liked member here, but this job seems to be about sorting shit out, and I can sort shit out.

So then what the hell happened to me?
I explicitly asked upon my resignation the only two things I wanted was access to the Mod Forum and being able to keep the old Sacae member icon, even if there was no real group.
Both of those were forgotten, it seems, and both are denied me currently. Thanks for bringing that up, Karn. So, I'll ask nicely again. Can i please have access to the Mod Forum?
I understand that the....oh, I'm just going to flame, so I'll stop here.

Hiei - July 7, 2006 05:09 AM (GMT)
What's the point if you're here once a month?

Fifth Fang - July 7, 2006 05:21 AM (GMT)
1. Uh, cause i asked?
2. just cause you're such a big enough newb not to remember that i once was an active member who actually affected the site, I still did, and when I do come on, I can help give my input. Yeah, that's right, what I say is actually worth listening too. At least the normal members know that. So, I'll do you a favor and pretend like you never posted.

Stupid people....

So much for not flaming...oh well. He deserved it.

Ummmm, just because you're too lazy to read a member number, you just made an idiotic post.

I don't mean to post this as a flame, but why the hell should they kiss your ass? :ihavepie:

Kio - July 7, 2006 07:02 AM (GMT)
Guys, Stop acting like dicks and let the topic. Let hiei sit there and flame. You dont get the point that he is gonna be a dick sometimes...and a horrible liar..BUT ANYWAYS. Stop.

Fifth Fang - July 7, 2006 07:48 PM (GMT)
Al-x is Hiei?
I should've known. And I saw your member number before I posted. That doesn't mean anything.
Dude, Bosco, you're so funny. no, really. I'm not asking anyone to 'kiss my ass?', just asking permission to see the forum.

Knowing the staff they haven't started thinking about it yet, so you can probably still apply. .-.;

Lionheart - July 9, 2006 08:05 PM (GMT)
Go ahead and apply.

Kyrillos - July 9, 2006 09:12 PM (GMT)
I nominate myself.
