:o Cheating bastard! I had to get mine removed while awake. Chances are, you're going to be put under, if you're going to be 'out of it'. Due to my asthma, they thought it was too dangerous to do that for me. I could get back online easily, but I couldn't eat for a week.

So, there's the good side (weight loss), and the very, very bad side (let's see... swollen gums, aching, bleeding, open wounds, and the possibility that, like me, you won't be able to swallow properly, chew, drink from straws, or touch your cheek without groaning in pain. ^^'').
