shortly after january 16, 1920 america actually BANNED achohol. They thought this method would stop all the problems with achohol cosumption. But it actually made it worse. People began do look for achohol anywhere they could find it. And since alchohol was now illegal, brewerys were illegal. So people would drink drinks that were much more unhealthy than the previous drinks they had drank before the ban. So the US had to lift this ban of achohol.

Everyoner knows, or mostly everyone, the drinking age is 21. Most people are fine with this age, and there is no reason to change it. But America's problem now lays in the hands of DUI. Driving under the influence had been causing many deaths in America. Even though we are punishing people to the full extent of the law for this, people continue to do this.

Many solutions to DUI have been put into action but not many are working. People have though of idea's like making people breathe into something to start their car (which i personally like best) but the goverment needs an idea that will stop DUI for good. Post here all your good ideas.

It's not only America. I believe this problem lies everywhere.

All you can really do is give severe punishments for it, as well as just convince the younger generations not to. You can't stop people from making bad decisions... They'll find a way to get around whatever the government throws at them.

but punishments aren't working so far, i mean how much farther can the police go than putting some1 in prison for the rest of their life or giving the death sentence (depending on state)

You see....my only problem with people who drink is that they endanger other people's lives..innocent peoples lives. There's no stopping stupid people from doing something stupid. Even if the punishment were to become more severe the problem wouldn't really decrease. People depend on alcohol to make them feel good. Some even think they perform better with a few pints in them. Anyways, I guess I'm done ranting. Fact is DUI's aren't gonna stop people from drinking and driving. My friends mom has like 3 DUI's and I believe she just got her license taken away for the last one. Ok, I'm seriously done now.

i agree if DUI couldn't hurt innocent ppl i dont think the government would be trying as hard to stop it. But because innocent people are getting hurt and even killed it is a serious matter and should be dealt with to the full extent of the law.
