Title: Rant #1
Nate - August 14, 2006 12:50 AM (GMT)
This is gonna be like one of Grondy's weekly rants... just mine aren't by Grondy... and mine might be every other week... (bolded paragraphs are extra and not needed to be read)
Ok I was playing the game Custom Robo for Gamecube and they were talking about how the world had been destroyed by something they couldn't see. Well that got me thinking about how Hitlers plan were not seen until after they had started. And that got me to thinking about slaves and how they're mistreated. That got me to thinking about how wives were thought the same way... thusly my topic of ranting.
I always thought my perfect wife would cook, clean, and love me as much as her parents. Then we I thought about it I would never want a perfect wife because I like to cook and if she cooks the meals then that would be a problem for me. I also like to clean once in a while so that would also be a problem. But this is beside the point.
Well I had watched a Wifeswap on channel 5 The WB. And the husband in that worked all day and cam home expecting dinner on the table and the whole house clean. (Note: He got home at about six at night but left at 5:30 in the morning.) The wife got three hours of sleep each night and stayed up till 2:00 at the earliest. The jusband thought his wife had the perfect family and the perfect house and he thought she was in heaven with such an easy life.
Now I'm not one to complain about other people. But I swear this guy must be a f*cking slave driver. If she is going to work until 2:00 at least she should be able to sleep until 8:00. I'm still with my first girlfriend and I dunno what it's like to get broken up with but I imagine a devorce hurts alot more on the husband than the wife because the husband has to pay child support. Well in this case I dunno but lemme start talking about the kids in this house.
Ok there are three kids and they all have sports. They are gone 5 or 6 hours a day because they walked to practice since there mom was busy. Well they also thought that all female in the world were supposed to clean the house cook breakfast and make the husbands coffee before he goes to work. I see how they could think this since that's what there mother did! But if my mom was going to clean all day and still love my dad after a year of doing that (and not going insane in anyway) then there is a problem since all she can clean right now is what she uses.
What those kids do to there mom is like what a slave is for. (Now I'm gonna quote how I think they act.) "Oh I'm sorry but just because it hurt like nothing I'll ever experience to come out of you doesn't mean I have to love you and help you." That's not something I would think any body would act like towards there mother. I know they think of her as there maid but she also pays the bills and gets them to school. The father had never seen there kids go to school until the oldest kid was in high school and the youngest was in 3rd grade.

That was mostly gibberish.

Yeah... no offense, but there doesn't seem to be much point to your rambling... just pointless rambling.

Women are supposed to cook men food, and clean up and put out. We make the money. :P

Alright, let me quote someone and you answer which is better:

| Women mourn alone, men mourn with another woman |
They were originally talking about death, I believe, but I think divorce might work the same way.
I don't believe child support would make the divorce harder on the man. By saying that, you're assuming that the woman always has full custody. If the man had full custody, I believe she would have to pay child support. (Someone correct me on this if I'm wrong. I honestly have no clue about divorces)
And, even then... does money mean that much? Would a loss of money used to help your own kids make divorce harder? Financial losses and emotional pain are two completely different things, and... I honestly don't see money as that valuable when you consider other things in your life.

Money = Root of all Evil
Thus, Happiness = Root of all Evil
Heh.

Root of all evil= cherry tree in the backyard of George Washington

Money can buy you strippers. Then I'd be happy.
A-And mansions. And Wii, PS3, and 360...

Doing things that make you happy...is what gets you happiness. ^_^
I talk to people and act like an idiot, plus I sleep in class. This makes me happy.
Lego plays that lawyer game and makes kirby things. That makes him happy.
Karn drinks high quality oil and conquers the world. MOOD: HAPPY. OBJECTIVE: KILL.

Alex: "Money can buy happiness."
You see, if you have enough money for life, you don't have to work your ass off in school. You work your ass off in school so you can work your ass off in college. You work your ass off in college so you can work your ass off in a boring, but high paying, job so you can pay for college, your house, your car(s), and other necessities like food. And although you work your ass off in a boring, but high paying, job, some of your salary is taken away through taxes.
So for a normal person, your life is just working your ass off for the future or money. Sounds like a happy time, eh? I'd personally rather not have a lot of money now so I can work my ass off for it later on in life.
... After typing this all up, I'm not sure if this is even relevant; skip over this post. X_x;;;

Ignore! That, sir, I shall not do! :P
All money means is that you don't have to work, or don't have to work as hard. It's not necessarily going to make you happy. In fact, there's a psychological concept called a "happiness set point" or something along those lines, which states that most people have a predetermined level of happiness that they maintain most of the time. Studying lottery winners, for example, they found that people were not significantly happier several years after winning the money than before.

Well, I'm talking about myself; I would be a lot happier with an abundance of money. There is definately no way I wouldn't be happier with a lot of money, and I'm pretty well off as it is. Mmm, the best computer in the world, all the great PC games I want but couldn't run before, no need to worry so much about the most minor things about school and life, etc. <333
Of course, I'm probably just a fool who is wrong. ^_^
Lades - August 25, 2006 01:19 PM (GMT)
