Title: Childish things
Nate - August 18, 2006 05:47 AM (GMT)
Ok yes I'm gonna talk about childish things that people will probably never grow out of. Me for example, I have a giant wall covered in posters and pictures of cats, kittens, and kittys. I've always and never will stop loving cats. My room has a wall covered with it
http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a67/Daisu.../PICT017512.jpg (look to the left of my GF and you can see kitty posters in my room.)
So... my question now... What are your chilidish habits/keepings that you will never get rid of... or at least not for a long time.
I Have a Sandwich - August 18, 2006 06:27 AM (GMT)
I have wall goodies too. I have a giant cardboard cutout of Sonic from an old Dreamcast standup above me bed and a giant cardboard cutout of the original red bionicle guy (I want to say he was the toa Tahu, I dun remember) from a LEGO Bionicle stand up, as well as an old Bionicle hanging sign from Toys R Us thats stuck of the wall. I've still got all the stuffed stuff from when I was little and lego models everywhere. I've also got 12 batteries for my old Digimon as well (Original (Not Season 1) and Season 2 digivice. I don't use the Seas 2, just the original) so I wont run out.
KuraiKitsune - August 18, 2006 06:46 AM (GMT)
I still have my Tamagotchi (1st gen), and it still works. ^_^ I also have a weakness for stuffed animals... I've got a plush of Kyo from Fruits Basket, two kitten plushies, a cow plush I named Gerik (it was an old Harvest Moon joke, where my sis named her animals after FE characters. XD), and a stuffed, pink bear.
...I also still have Legos, Digimon, and Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. XD
Puff - August 18, 2006 06:55 AM (GMT)
Dai... Your girlfriend looks like one of my old friends. It's kinda creeping me out. And this particular friend lives in Cali. x.x;;
Anyways..Keepings. First: My baby blanket. It's yellow; there's bunnies on either side of it, and the edges are frilly. The thing makes me giddy and almost care-free.
Tied for first: My stuffed tiger/tabby kitten. It purrs (there's something in it's head that makes it so), but it's so old that the body is inflated. Oh well.. I was still cuddling with it the other night.
That's probably not it, but that's all I can think of at the moment.
Habits. If I make grilled cheese, I cut them diagonally.. (Sometimes do this with other sandwiches too).
Boxes, I love boxes. Playing in them, hiding, sleep, et cetra. My dad frequently tells me that when I was little I had a favourite box to crawl into with my blankey. ^_^
I'm still amused by child toys and giant stuffed animals and big, fluffy pillows.
sara13987 - August 18, 2006 02:49 PM (GMT)
I still have a stuffed Mickey Mouse puppet from when I was a baby. The coat on it has had to be changed like 3 times, but it's still in pretty good shape, thankfully. ^_^
Everyone knows my biggest childhood obsession, though. Stuffed animals, in particular, bears. I have so many. Only until we painted my room last year did I stop having about 20 on my bed. Now there's only 3 (Mickey, Monkey, and Bear).
I also love Disney movies. Finding Nemo, Lilo and Stitch, Aladdin... they're just so fun. ^_^
Kurai, we have Legos here too. Of course, I rarely use them now, but sometimes I'll sit down and build small things like bathtubs and raffle them off to my sister or someone.
KuraiKitsune - August 19, 2006 08:03 AM (GMT)
Oh, yeah. Disney movies. You name 'em, and I can bet you that I know the whole script of the movie. XD
I also have a Pooh stuffed bear. ^_^ He's so cute. Too bad he's so old, though. :/
I just found my old Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Megazord toys. ^_^ Still have all of 'em, and have about fifty booster packs from the first movie that have yet to be opened. Ask ZKX; I sold him two. XD
I Have a Sandwich - August 19, 2006 08:35 AM (GMT)
Yep. I gots a mini stand up of Lord Zedd. It's around here summere's.
SpiralStatic - August 19, 2006 03:54 PM (GMT)
I still have a shitload of Yu-Gi-Oh cards, over 55% of them in Japanese, and I still watch Digimon on Toon Disney once in a while. And I still play the old Pokemon games, but I have to play the roms cause I lost my Game Boy Color.
Alex - August 19, 2006 04:54 PM (GMT)
I can annoy the hell out of people. ^_^
Valter - August 19, 2006 08:12 PM (GMT)

ELMOOOO!!! *bounces up and down.*
I still love Elmo... And Mr. Roggers! :o The Rugrats, Rocko's Modern Life, and Ah! Real Monsters, too. Cartoons in general.
Kio - August 19, 2006 09:39 PM (GMT)
I had a box full of yugioh cards, but I finaly gave em away too some kid...twas hard to let go. Course I kept my super rare buster blader ^_^;; and about 50 other cards.
I also ahve legos. I love legos. Can't imagine a life without them. Although I need to but more peices...
Edit: And my brother has lots of beyblades. And original power ranger toys. AND RONAN WARRIORS. DO YOU KNWO HOOW LONG I'VE BEEN TRYING TO GET THOSE OFF HIS HANDS, I MEAN GOD, HES GOING TO COLLEGE INA WEEK!
...meh...
SpiralStatic - August 19, 2006 09:41 PM (GMT)
Oh, I have a shitload of Beyblades. I threw out like half of them back in January before I moved though... >.>
Kio - August 19, 2006 09:44 PM (GMT)
Dude, you shoulda gave em to me. Seeing as my brother wont. >_> <_< (although I built half of them)
Kaden - August 19, 2006 10:36 PM (GMT)
1. Star Wars. Been addicted to it since before I can remember, and I still am.
2. Video Games. Some may say it's not kiddy, but I still play my super nintendo a lot.
3. Who doesn't like yu-gi-oh? If you don't, then get the hell out! :hopping:
4. Hell, I'm not giving up my gundam action figures, 3 away from having all in the wing series, and I'm sure as hell not giving them up now.
5. Finally, disney movies. I still watch'em all the time. The music kicks muse/nickleback/greenday/all other mainstream (or close) bands' asses.
I Have a Sandwich - August 19, 2006 10:39 PM (GMT)
Beyblades, thats something I forgot. I had one, never lost. Had a custom chip, and just tore the SHIT out of the stadium I had. I had filed the sides down to blades XD Called it Panzer... *Looks at avatar* Shit.
Nate - August 19, 2006 10:46 PM (GMT)
Kaden...
I don't like Yu gi oh, Beyblades, or digimon... so should I leave now? (HEHEHE... I spent so much money on PKMN cards...)
Kaden - August 19, 2006 10:53 PM (GMT)
Show sucked, but the cards are fun.
Kojiro - August 19, 2006 11:49 PM (GMT)
Magic: The Gathering owns Yu-Gi-Oh.
Nate - August 20, 2006 01:10 AM (GMT)
I bought those too... but I got rid of them a few years ago...
Puff - August 20, 2006 02:29 AM (GMT)
Yu-Gi-Oh & Magic = BAAAAD. Pokémon owns.
Lionheart - August 20, 2006 02:53 AM (GMT)
Magic is a far better game than Yu-Gi-Oh and Poke'mon. However Poke'mon is pretty good too.
During July all of my friends and I got obsessed with the Poke'mon games again. I had like 130 or so hours of gameplay on my Emerald version. That sort of fell through for us, though, a few weeks ago when we found out about Netbattle.
Uhhh, I gave all my Poke'mon cards to my friend's little brother. However, we still play with them sometimes over there.
I still own a bunch of Gundams.
Most of my favorite movies are Disney, although I don't really consider it childish. I know the words to most of the Lion King songs.
I think that's about it.
Juan - August 20, 2006 03:00 AM (GMT)
I have Gundam toys, I also have some DBZ Action figures... I have Pokemo card that are worth something as well. I still watch shows klike fairly odd parents, Grim adventures of Billy and Mandy and stuff like that.
Puff - August 20, 2006 03:18 AM (GMT)
Oh! Veggietales is still awesome. Some friends and I used to watch them all the time.
Kio - August 20, 2006 04:00 AM (GMT)
Meh. I had gundams. But they all fell intot he hands of my cousin..in other words Gundams=IN TINY PEICES.
Valter - August 20, 2006 12:05 PM (GMT)
Screw all trading card games. Magic is the spawn of Satan.. Pokemon has been dead scince the show started. Yu-Gay-Ho.... I cannot tell how much I hate this game.
That is my say on TGC's. Anyone want to play Poker, War, Old Maid, Crazy 8's, or Texas Hold 'Em?
Ryetsei - August 20, 2006 04:40 PM (GMT)
I don't think I will ever grow out of TCG's, I have to say. My friend and I actually made one not too long ago, based on Naruto. Eh heh... :)
KuraiKitsune - August 20, 2006 10:02 PM (GMT)
I still have my Yu-Gi-Oh! dragon deck.
Oh, by the way, ZK, I officially have all the Power Rangers cards, now, except for one holofoil; the Falcon. >.< Damn it all. ^^''
I have every single Sailor Moon trading card from Season one... added 100 hours to Pokémon: Fire Red since last week... and am once again obsessed with old Sega games, including Aladdin (which I've yet to beat on Difficult...) and Streets of Rage 3. ^_^

I've always been opsessed with Snes games... I beat alladin on all difficulties right now playing MM soccer on hard and I've beaten super mario bros. 1-4 for snes...
Lades - August 21, 2006 12:31 AM (GMT)
Ummm...Lemme see.
I play pokemon still, although it's not childish. the anime is, the game is still solid. ^_^
Yu-gi-oh is stupid, but a okay card game. <_<
I watch power rangers generations sometimes.
I'm still playing old games on SNES.
And other boring stuff. :)
I Have a Sandwich - August 21, 2006 01:26 AM (GMT)
Why do people consider SNES childish? SNES and 64 are the only systems I've got in my room. I've got the Dreamcast too, but I had to retire it.
SpiralStatic - August 21, 2006 04:24 PM (GMT)
SNES is anything but childish... shit, I'd say GameCube is far more childish than the SNES... Then again, SNES had way more third party games than GCN... hell, most GameCube games are Nintendo made... and RPGs have gone to shit... -_-... it's the truth, most of 'em just plain SUCK, and I hate it... but I'm going off topic here.
I still play the Pokemon games meself. Love 'em to pieces, I'm in the middle of playing Silver right now, on my trusty emulator.
Ryouhei - August 22, 2006 04:05 AM (GMT)
I gave my silver version away because I thought I was never going to play it again and then when people started to talk about it again, I went to the store and bought a copy of it xD
And I hated how everyone hated lugia before it came out but now, it's like one of the most favorite pokemon
Esgalglinion - August 22, 2006 05:55 AM (GMT)
I still cry everytime Bambi's mother dies in that movie.
Kio - August 22, 2006 06:01 AM (GMT)
