Title: Tentative warning...

KuraiKitsune - August 18, 2006 06:40 AM (GMT)
I'm not sure how this is going to affect my activity just yet, but my sis got us busted when it comes to computer access. >.>'' Dad came home early, only to find my older sis on the computer. It didn't even occur to her to turn the damn thing off, so we got caught. x.x He says he'll change the password, which I just found out a few weeks back... but that hasn't been confirmed yet.

Scenarios and outcomes:

1. He changes nothing: I'll be online, as usual. ^_^

2. He changes the password but keeps a hint for my mother: It'll take a few weeks, but I'll crack the password. :/ Until then, lesser activity; probably reduced to 1-2 hours per day, unless I'm home all day.

3. He changes the password, but leaves no hint: Oh, man, I'm screwed. >.<'' Same activity level as the last scenario. That means I'll have to try to watch my mother log on, but that's harder than it sounds. She has a mirror to make sure we aren't behind her, and there's a wall in front of the computer. >_>

Well, cross your fingers. I'm hoping for the best. x.x

Hopefully all will turn well. On the off chance that it doesn't, I'll miss you. :"(

You should ask Bosco Tranz for his password cracker.

Or... you could go the hard way...

AA
AB
AC
AD
and so on...

Until you find a set of letter/numbers that opens the comp.

...are you mad? o.o'' The last password was a combination of 11 numbers/letters. x.x

Try and boot up into safe mode with F8. See if you can't get through to the admin account. It should work unless your dad is the least bit computer savvy.

If he changes it, best of luck on cracking it. Otherwise, w00t.

Wow. Although I'm not sure how your family's system works, I think it's mean to go bananas over something that small :/

At any rate, we'll all cross our fingers for you.

Valter - August 19, 2006 08:06 PM (GMT)
Good luck.

The problem is, from what we've seen, he's more than computer savvy. He modded the firewall to block certain websites(GF)... so, yeah...

If anything, try the Safe Mode dealy... it's your only hope... shitttt... this is bad, but you must prevail!

KuraiKitsune - August 24, 2006 08:03 PM (GMT)
Update!

He changed the password, and my mother's being sure not to let us see. >.>'

I haven't seen if there's a hint yet, but I'll check.

My dad's damn computer savvy. He fixed his work buddy's computer... and that model isn't even avaliable to the general public, yet. >.<'' He works for Raytheon, a company that deals with technological advances of military software.

Methinks I'm screwed. :/

But, for good news, I got 'dumb' classes this year. Sign Language as my foreign language, baby.

Good luck. You know, you can find perfectly legal XP cracking programs out there. ;) Best of luck to you.

Well, if you really want to get technical, you can always take the battery on your CMOS out. As well as other ways. I got so tired of everyone locking me of the compy, I deleted their accounts, set up 3 layers of passwords to get in, and set a lot of stuff to lock.

They got pissed. I got internet.
