Title: Best Damn Rock Band 06
strikeraider827 - September 1, 2006 12:24 AM (GMT)
Yeah, it's on its way back. The BDRB Competition shall be starting up again soon. You know the drill. Nominate your favorites and then they'll battle it out head to head, with you choosing the winner. But this time through, if people want it, we will have either 64 or 128 entries. Also, help to veto crap that shouldn't be on here. You want examples? Gorillaz come to mind, at least Good Charolotte and Yellowcard also are iffy. Can Pink Floyd repeat as champs? Will a relative unknown upset a seasoned vet? We shall see.
So, what are you waiting for NOMINATE!

Sum 41 and The Who if they aren't up there.
Kaden - September 7, 2006 10:53 PM (GMT)
If you're basing this off mainstream biased, then it's not going to be a fun competition. Yeah, bands that've made it mainstream are good, but 99% of them suck compared to smaller, lesser known bands out there. You can't really compare mainstream bands to each other, they're all similar, and aren't really.

He's right, because they know bands like what are already out will sell, and its a safer bet than getting lesser, non mainstream sounding bands.
