Title: Approving???????

Gwarknight0 - September 4, 2006 05:33 PM (GMT)
Ok I have been waiting over a week to have my character approved...You should have more people approving characters....

Unless you're completely oblivious to it, school's started for most of us. Homework, schoolwork, and the average life of most of us, is taking up time to do stuff here. If you want your character approved, send a PM to one of the mods (I think) asking politely to get it approved.

First of all..Even though school has staqrted for most people. I have constantly seen people on every day. So obviously people do have time to come on. I have seen mods on and the like, I have asked a mod or two and they said they can't do it. I have pmed other mods that I saw were on and they never pmed me back.

No one does it anymore anyways.

Valter - September 4, 2006 10:44 PM (GMT)
As I said, no one has been accepting for the last few monthes.

Okay then, how much have you actually helped the mod you asked then? For instance, it helps a lot if you've already calculated your combined starting points and your combined stat growth. Most mods here won't even try looking at your profile since trying to calculate all of your stuff on their own takes one heckuva job and time.

Although I think it's pretty obvious, you also have to provide a link to the profile you want approved.

And just because you see them online, doesn't mean they're actually online. Some of us have FEW as our starting page, and because of that, they get automatically logged on and active. They then stay at the Active Members list for an additional 15 minutes, even if they left right after going onto FEW.

Have patience. If you think it takes time to get your character approved, just wait until you need your battles judged. That really takes patience.

Edit: It's not that I don't agree with you at all, I think we need some more to approve characters. It's just that you bring it up in a somewhat rude manner.

On a sidenote, this topic should go into Requests and Complaints.

Ah. There we go. ^^

Moved.

For future reference, despite me being a G-Mod, I don't approve characters.

Same here, except we've already been through this. I tried being nice, just realize, people have lives. Yes, that's right, they have lives.

Cut the spam before I warn you.(In case you haven't noticed, I'm feeling a bit no-bullshit today.

If you don't allow a little spam forums become no fun at all.

Karn - September 5, 2006 11:12 PM (GMT)
You need to ask a member of the forum team. Most of them will have black names on the active users list, unless they are part of a different member group as well. I'm one of those acceptions, so I can approve your character. However, I cannot move it to the correct forum if it is approved, so you may need to get a gmod to do that.

Lionheart - September 5, 2006 11:56 PM (GMT)
I have a black name..but I never once have approved a profile..don't come to me please..

Alder - September 6, 2006 12:02 AM (GMT)
What ever happened to Roleplay Moderators?

KuraiKitsune - September 6, 2006 12:14 AM (GMT)
RP Mods are only responsible for the Text RP, I believe. :/ Not to mention that there are only 2 of the original 4 that still hold that title.

Alder - September 6, 2006 12:20 AM (GMT)
Well...why not make a new section of members for Profile Mods or something similar.

Since a lot of G-Mods don't want to, or can't approve profiles and there are only 2 Roleplay Moderators (which...don't approve profiles?) I think it might be a good idea.

KuraiKitsune - September 6, 2006 12:23 AM (GMT)
Text RP and Stat RPG are two separate elements. Please realize that. :/ We RP Mods (well, I used to be one, anyway...) focus our attention on the Text role play aspect of the site. Besides, I'd probably screw up when approving characters. I'm all about diction, not digits, see?

We'd need volunteers before even thinking about Profile Mods (or anything similar). No use appointing someone who won't do their job.

Tranz-vestite - September 7, 2006 08:39 PM (GMT)
There are plenty of other Fire Emblem RPGs out there, and this one seems to be dead. :/ Nothing against FEW, but I suggest you look somewhere else. Fire Emblem Fusion has a decently active RPG themselves...
