The Picks
CHI @ MIN
This is going to be a decent game. Chicago is heavily favored, but I think Minnesota will give them a fight for their money. Unfortunately, Minnesota doesn't have the defense to stop Chicago's newly found Offensive ability. Chicago is my pick here.

CIN @ PIT
The Pittsburgh Steelers have got to be one of the luckiest teams in the NFL right now. Last season, in the play offs, they had to face a Carson Palmer-less Bengal team. Sunday, they're going to face a Chad Johnson-less Bengal team. Here's the difference maker, though: Palmer to Housh. Carson Palmer is so talented of a Quarterback that he'll make just about any reciever look like...well, look like #85 himself. The only reason that TJ Houshmandzadeh isn't a #1 reciever right now is because he's on the same roster as Chad Johnson. End of story. Pittsburgh didn't put up a point last week. Cincinnati blew out the Browns. Cincy for the win here.

NYJ @ BUF
This is an easier game to call than most think. The Jets beat Tennessee. Whoopdeedoo. Buffalo only lost to the Patriots by a Safety. They beat Miami, too. Buffalo is going to shut down the Jets' offense, and the Jets' D just isn't all that good at all. Unless Buffalo gives up numerous big plays, they'll win this one.

CAR @ TB
Steve Smith is back. End of story. CAR for the win.

GB @ DET
Green Bay is still Green Bay. Brett Favre still has a TD:INT ratio of about 1:3. Detroit is emerging as a great young team, especially their Defense. Roy Williams? Kevin Jones? Ever-Reliable Jon Kitna? Oh yeah, I think I'll take Detroit here.

WAS @ HOU
See the "CAR @ TB" statement, but use these replacements: "Steve Smith" with "Clinton Portis", anc "CAR" with "WAS".

JAX @ IND
The only thing greater than Jacksonville's under-ratedness is the amount of players on Indy's IR list. Jacksonville has one of the top three defenses in Football right now. Indianapolis has one of the top three offenses. The difference is, Indy's defense isn't good. Jacksonville's offense is. Jacksonville is my sleeper pick this week for the win.

TEN @ MIA
Wow, what a match. 2 for 10 Billy Volek versus the Dolphins. I think I'll take the latter. 'Phins for the win.

BAL @ CLE
This match is even harder to call than the TENvMIA game. A 2-0 team that has outscored their opponents by 50 points, or an 0-2 team that lost to NEW ORLEANS. Hmmm...Cleveland is going to shut out Baltimore. Oh, wait, did I say Cleveland? I meant Baltimore. Yeah. Baltimore for the Shut Out Victory.

STL @ ARI
QB? Bulger or Warner? RB? Steven Jackson or Edgerrin James? WR? Larry Boldin or Isaac Holt? Offensive line? AHAHAHAHAHA. Defense? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHA. Gimme St. Louis on this one. Orlando Pace alone is better than Arizona's entire Offensive Line. Will Witherspoon? Better than ARI's entire D.

PHI @ SF
San Fransisco's defense allowed Arizona to score 34 points. Philadelphia held the Giants to 7 points in the first half of their game. This pick is similar to the TENvMIA game, but may not be quite as much of a blow out. Philly has it locked in.

NYG @ SEA
This is going to be one amazing game. If you ask me, the Giants are a better overall team. They would win this game anywhere BUT in Qwest Field. However, because they're IN Qwest Field, I'm choosing Seattle. Not to mention the fact that Deion Branch is playing in this game. He should be a difference maker.

DEN @ NE
Another amazing game in the making. Both teams are stacked at D. Both teams have their fair share of Offensive problems. Jake Plummer isn't playing to his potential, and Tom Brady isn't passing like Tom Brady. The difference is when Mike Shanahan pulls Jake Plummer and puts in Jay Cutler, the Broncos will have a complete team. Denver should pull this one out in the long run.

ATL @ NO
This is an incredibly easy pick on paper. Atlanta has outscored their opponents by 25 points in the last two games, and New Orleans has beaten a very poor Green Bay team, and Cleveland, another sad team. The pick isn't as easy when you factor in New Orleans' emotional devotion to winning for their city. This is their first game back in the Super Dome since Hurricane Katrina, and the entire city of New Orleans is going to be watching the game. A loss would be a huge impact to their morale; and not a positive one at that. Women and Children would cry, and Men would too, but only because they just lost a bet to somebody at work. Unfortunately for those Women, Men, and Children, there is no way in hell Atlanta's losing this game. End of story. Put D Hall, and MAYBE Chris Crocker on Joe Horn, and put 6, 7, or even 8 people on the box. End of game.[/doHTML]
Once again, you remind me how much it sucks to be a die-hard Cleveland fan lately.
On that note-I agree with these calls for the most part, but of course, you can never be certain...
lol atl is getting their asses kicked

First off, spam post deleted.
Second of all, nobody could've predicted that game. Not to mention the fact that I'm glad Atlanta lost to New Orleans in their Home Opener of all games; it's just unfortunate that it was televised to the world. Now people think Vick sucks again. -_-
