Title: Suicide

I was wondering what were all of your points of views on this subject. Please try to somewhat civilized when you are posting.

In my eyes it is a way for people to escape the heavy burden of every day life, It is the ultimate solution to all of people problem. I suppose some people can actually see this as a way to escape the pain of a broken heart. I have known a few people that have commited suicide, they all were buried under stress and just decided to give it all up. Well I was just wondering what were your opnions on this.

If your life has reached an dead end and you feel the need for it to stop then go ahead and do it yourself.

Kakashi, I'm not so sure that you'll get such a... positive outlook from many people. -_-

I don't think suicide is ever the answer. You're given one life, why would you ever give it up willingly? There are always alternatives. Everyone has suicidal thoughts from time to time (it's perfectly normal), but... just, no. There are always people who are willing to help you, and there are always, always people who care. Never doubt that. Some of us may not be vocal about it, but we're still here. :/

( I know that most people won't give a positive outlook, I just want some people to be respectful and not say anything offensive)

And yes there are some people they can talk but for the most part they feel cold and alone in the world, That's how I see it anyway.

I Have a Sandwich - November 12, 2006 05:13 AM (GMT)
Bullshit. "Oh life is so hard. My girlfriend dumped me. It's not fair" Bullshit. If you wanna off yourself, be my guest, but if you give an excuse like any of those 'justifications' you posted up there, all you're doing is trying to make it out to be my fault. Kill yourself if you wanna, but it's your fault, and no matter what I did, it always will be in the end your choice.

Of course, suicide is for pussies. End of case. I've had more valid reasons for suicide than alot of these pussies that lynch themselves, but lookit, I'm still here. There IS NO RIGHTFUL JUSTIFICATION of suicide, ever.

Don't nobody try and pull that "What if you had to kill yourself or they'd kill your family" crap either. How often in reality outside of feature films and the mafia does that occur?

sara13987 - November 12, 2006 05:20 AM (GMT)
Depression is bad, yes. It's able to be helped, though. Psychologists and even doctors can help or prescibe medication that can help, even a bit.

You're never alone in the world. There are thousands of people that feel like you do, and millions that feel the same pressures as you. And being cold isn't good, either. As much as it may hurt to do so, you need to find at least one person you can trust and open up to. It may take a while, but you'll find someone. The first step to getting rid of those feelings is to talk about them.

strikeraider827 - November 12, 2006 12:31 PM (GMT)
It's not the answer. In my opinion, if you think everyone's against you, then maybe they are. But that's no reason to go kill yourself. That's letting them win, letting peer pressure fuck you over. Do you want to be someone's bitch?

Kaden - November 12, 2006 01:54 PM (GMT)
Suicide is never the answer. No matter how bad life is, some one else has it worse off then you. Just remember that.

Valter - November 12, 2006 02:31 PM (GMT)
Why do people commit suicide? Like ZKX said, it's for pussies who can't take the pressure. They're all like "Oh life sucks, I'll hang myself." When they kill themselves, they're helping to kill others. Lets say Billy Bob shoots himself in the head. His best friend, Jimmy Bob, only had one friend, Billt Bob, so Jimmy Bob kills himself too. Not to mention that the whole school, all of his friends, and all of his family will never be the same. Just 1 suicide can mess up an entire town.

'Ivan - November 12, 2006 03:44 PM (GMT)
It is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

Which is why I contemplated it often.

EDIT: D! D AT THE END, DAMN IT! IT WAS A TYPO!

Juan - November 12, 2006 05:34 PM (GMT)
All of you guys have some valid points, but I don't think that people are "pussies" Just because they commit suicide. Some people just have an unbearable amount of strees, sometimes causing them not think straight and leading them to the only solution possible in thier minds. On the other hand what Strike said is somewhat true, If you commit suicide I guess you do let 'Them' win, but still under the pain of everyday life I doubt anyone can think that clearly. Can anyone truly say when they are mad or depressed that they can be completely clear minded to see every possible choice they can make? or are they blinded by thier emotion causing them to temporarli lose thier minds and leave themselves with one solution which is suicide. Well that's just my view anyway.

Everybody has stress. Everyone. I could list out everything I have to deal with, but what's the point? If the stress is causing them problems, then they should drop what can be dropped. Why bother taking 3 AP classes if you can't handle it emotionally? And how in the world would suicide be a better option than to change your course load? -_-

Phoenix - November 12, 2006 06:12 PM (GMT)
I do agree that suicide is the unintelligent and frankly cowardly way out.

If you got to the point that you got something bad happened to you, don't you think that you can get out, too?

If you do commit suicide, that's sort of saying that good things in life are not worth it.

I Have a Sandwich - November 12, 2006 06:30 PM (GMT)
As Sara said, everyone has stress. But look at all those people that have more stress than alot of these people. Presidents, soldiers, homeless, but guess what? Most of them are still here, because they know its temporary. I still stand by my point that they're all pussies.

Alright. It's the most ignorant thing that a person can do. If you have problems, then why not TALK TO SOMEONE?(!)

*Fumes. Leaves discussion.*

Although I disagree with suicide, what if some one has no one to talk to? Then what are they supposed to do? Still, no matter how bad you have it, some one else ALWAYS has it worse off than you.

I did. I talked. It didn't help.

I got better by myself.

People always have someone to talk to, I have people to talk to, Although I promised to two people that I wouldn't commit suicide. Everyone has someone to talk to no matter what they think.

that would be me, repeat all of that but replace 'suicide' with 'murder'. like some of those guys were saying, suicide is for pitiful weaklings. i say don't end your life because of problems, you should end the lives of your problems. but, you know, only during a state of insanity or whatever

either that or move to a new city, it may be better to run away from your problems rather than face them, if at all possible. but that's not my style

by and by, regardless of what your problems are and how you choose to deal with them happy days will always come your way evenually, unless you get jail for life because of a mass homicide or something.
