Title: Company of Heroes?

Goddamnit. This'll be the third time I try to see if any of ya'll play a game I play. Maybe I'll get lucky this time!

Company of Heroes - sweet RTS - lots of tanks and explosions.

I bought it but it lags a lot on my computer. It looks awesome, though.

Played it and I'm not a fan.

Yeah Karn, its definately a specs hog - you should probably just lower all of the settings to their lowest. I mean, the eye candy is great but whats the point if you can't play it well, right?

Aien, first immpression will suck if only because, like most RTS games, the learning curve is pretty steep. If you give it the time of day, you'll find yourself having a lot of fun.

I did lower everything to the lowest setting. My computer isn't normally slow, so I thought the game was just incredibly big. My friend bought it and the same thing happened to him. Unfortunately, I can't install it on my Mac, which has more power than my normal computer.

No, I've seen a freind play it fairly in depth.

I'd rather play CoD3.

Well, its big on ram, which you may not find with other games... that may be why. As long as you don't have a totally prehistoric Vid Card, you should be doing fin on lowest settings. You will need 1-2 gigs of ram to handle the game smoothly though.

EDIT: Nice post time Aien - if you're looking for a shooter, you're looking for a shooter. I don't see the point of comparing it to a game like CoH though, since they appeal to totally different sides of the gaming spectrum. I mean, same setting & all, but thats about it. You can't go blowing heads off with a shotgun in the CoH, but on the same level you can't be moving around 100s of units at a time to perform an organized assault on CoD3... I tend to like both genres, but RTS seems to be real unpopular in comparison.
