Roy. Sucks. He's slow and all of his tech's except his B-attack pretty much suck. Marth is exactly like Roy except better.

And even then, his B-attack hurts him if you time it Wrong. Be happy with Marth.

Now, if they'd put Ephraim or Sigurd in... :D

well i just herad it from someone. i hear hes on top of everyones list ....

some of us like being roy, and hes a cool charecter! its not his fault...that the melee people..made him.... a bit not as useful as other charecters...

marth is fast but light and easy to throw....its takes so long to do any descent damage. if i wanted a speedy charecter id pic fox or pikachu..not marth

and roy is average in speed, what he lacks are good jumps =(

Marth is much faster than Pikachu, and much better. He's great for combos, and stuff like that. He can rack up damage much better than Roy, because Roy is slow and useless.

That pretty much wins the topic.

Plus, he wears a tiara. come on, the most manliest men wears tiara.

And Roy is very light as well, and besides, if you're good enough, you're able to dish out enough damage to everyone else before you get thrown out as Marth.

And even though Fox do run faster, Marth's attacks are faster and more easily executed than Fox's. The downside is an annoying recovery rate from time to time.

Now, everyone's allowed to think what they want, but Marth just is cooler (His taunt says "Hey! Look at me!").

You should see me and my friends battle. Were constantly dodging, evading, and defending in a neverending cycle carefully placing attacks just before evading your enemies next one. In SSB patients is a virute and you should use it to keep your damage percentage as low as possible and to rake up your enemies into the triple-digits.

And for this reason...I prefer the speedy Marth over Roy. (summing it all up)

Roy can't combo, his recovery sucks, his only real kill move is his forward and down smash which are both slow.

Marth has the tipper, his grab is sick, he's faster, his combos are sick, and his recovery is pretty good.

I don't think Roy wins any way you look at it.

However, I don't think he should be removed. It doesn't seem like it would be too hard to just leave characters in. I have not heard anything about his removal yet, though, so never fear.

Any weakness Marth has in terms of weigh, let me just say Down+B.

As the best Marth Player that I know of, in my town, I can say, after destroying MANY Roy's, that Roy pales to Marth.

I'd vote to have Pikachu and Mewtwo removed first anyways. Roy is good for 2v2 combat, he's easy to combo OFF of. Roy excels in Kill stealing and combo starting, but for 1v1 he's useless. Slow, poor weight, crappy attack execution time. His recovery is worse than Marth's as well. [Marth's can be quit good given a knowledge of his manuvers].

Pichu>Pikachu. More damage, faster, and way more annoying [can you say...small target?]

Mewtwo's floating is just really horrendous, even in a skilled player's hands. The jump is TOO quirky and the Shadow Ball should be more of a straight shot rather than a wavy line. xD

I agree with you on all points except Mewtwo. Though he is difficult to master, those who do are the most deadly players I know. His dodges are slick and quick and his movement is unique. His attacks are powerful yet he isn't a slow character. I can't explain him very well since it's not I who mastered him but I have a friend who is a m ajor pain when he randomly gets Mewtwo. (we do random battles)
