Title: XD Yesss!
Description: I'm a nerd..

Okay, so I was doing late physics homework (I was absent the day we got this sheet and I kept forgetting about it). Anyway, one of the problems makes me laugh (The guy in the problem is my teacher):

"5. You're sitting in your social studies class on the 3rd floor, where the window is 9.0m above the ground, when you notice that Secaur's car is sitting on 6th street, 12.0 meters from the building. If you heave your government book (finally good for something) up at an angle of 45 degrees, with a velocity of 10.0 m/s, will you hit the car? Assume that the car is 2.0 meters wide, and that the nearest part of the car is 12.0m from the building."

Bolded part is what makes me laugh.
ALSO, because... I hope he has insurence! 'cause his car is getting hit!

Makes me wanna do one last problem. :)

Errr...you won't hit the car.

Puff - December 21, 2006 01:38 AM (GMT)
Yes you will, if X is between 12 and 14. And I got 13.552 meters. It hits, near the middle.

Lades - December 21, 2006 01:42 AM (GMT)
I had a 50/50 chance. Lol. I just guessed.

Puff - December 21, 2006 01:45 AM (GMT)
XD I see, I see.

Well, what if a bird flying at 32cm went by the window, sticking its beak into the book and then tearing it up before it would have a chance of touching the car at an angle of 36 inches, what would the diameter be of pg. 221 of the government text book (Assuming the bird had ripped off pages 3, 68, 24, 71, 125, 178, 92, 143, and 1)?

AP Gov't was fairly easyyy. >_>;

sara13987 - December 21, 2006 02:13 AM (GMT)
We had a few questions like that for physics, too. Where was it...?

"Boris hops 120km[E60N] then 60km[N], then 40km [W30N]. Boris has big legs and is happy. Find his displacement."

It's from the beginning of the year, but I saved it. :P

Dude, our physics problems are pure evil. They're hilarioius though. See, the thing is, we have two teachers because we have a combined class from so many people taking physics this year, so we have Mr. Carbone and Ms. White. Mr. Carbone usually writes the problems. Ms. White and her hedgehog(poor Trouble T_T) are usually the objects in motion, and Ms. White at least usually dies. Let's just say she's driven her car off her fair share of cliffs.

"Studant A has a knife that he throws at studant B. If she dodges the knife with a 10 degree bend and tries to fend studant A off with a 5MPH (at 40 inches above the ground) punch at them will studant B still be alive? (The knife is at a 20 degree angle with a 40FPM [feet per minute].)"

That was my brothers question he got... something like that (numbers might be a bit off and I re-worded it for length reasons.)

Lucky you with your teachers and their humor. Most teachers of science and math here are douschebags that have no funny bone.

It's actually not even my teacher, most of the time. My physics book is hilarious. :P

My physics teacher is from Poland, born when they were under Communistic rule.

Under her great influence, we have learned Monday to Sunday on polish, as well as Happy Birthday on the same language.

She can't say the swedish word for pattern (mönster). Instead, she says monster. Whenever it's brought up, we start drawing weird cubic horned demons.

She sucks as a teacher, but she's kinda a very nice person otherwise.

Number one mistake on her side:

"Peter runs 4 km in 40 minutes. Anna runs 3 m in 20 minutes. Who runs the fastest?"

"Peter."

"No, he does not."

"He doesn't?"

It doesn't take a genius to figure out where the fault is.

Uh...all I have to say is...I really hate math! ><

Math bites. It makes BMS's head hurt too much
