It sucks, I know, but if you could offer any pointers, and how to improve, that would be GREATLY appreciated

Well for one, make it as small as you can in dimensions. That and you want to align it properly. What did you use and do you have imagready/photoshop?

Ok, I will try that. I use gimp; don't have imagready/photoshop.

what program do you use? and in case I haven't used it, how do you go about adding frames on it

only general pointer I can give would be to line up the feet and legs since they don't move much in this animation

One thing that hasn't been mentioned: you forgot to recolour the space between the sprite's legs for some of the frames.

A tip for lining up each frame: Paste the new frame over the frame before it. It'll help a lot in removing the shakiness.

Thanks, I will try as soon as I learn how to move layers in GIMP.

FELLOW GIMP USER!... Animating in gimp is easy...

First make the sheet about... umm 100x100 or so.

The for every frame movement add a transparent layer/frame.

Put everything lined up (for the character) and make 1 extra layer/frame.

Fill it in white (or green) and put it as the back layer.

Copy it equal to the number of frames for your characters movement.

And the put one behind each frame.

The merge each movement to a white layer.

At least that's how I do it...

Thanks, I will definitely try that.
