This would be a better thing to post in the staff forum, but since I'm too bitchy, and ultima doesn't know me well enough, I'll post here.

I'm proposing a system that will allow certain rules and decisions to be veto'd by certain staff ranks, even if the rank above it that made the decision. So what exactly is it? Multiple Triangles...

1. Staff decisions and new rules. The Root can be overturned by two of the other admins, as long as the third doesn't approve. However, since that isn't fair, and limits the root power but little to none, the G-Mods and Advisors also have to want to veto the decision. Here's what I believe the three ranks could be.

Root - The Two/Three Admins - G Mods and Advisors. (Any two can turn over the third.)

2. RPG Decisions Well, I think this is very similar, but I think the three ranks should be quite different.

Admins (including r00t) and G Mods - Forum Team and Advisors - Members.

That one is pretty intense, but you know, the RPG is for the members, and the forum team is in charge, thus, I believe they need equal say in it. As for the advisors, they seem to go with the member's point of view.

What do you guys say? Just a suggestion.

Edit: This is aimed mainly at the staff, members, if you disagree, butt out.

Why else do I say this? From what I've heard, one certain individual is keeping a lot of stuff from getting done. This might help get the forum moving again.

Eh, it just appears I'm bitchy because I'm one of two people that have suggested things in the past month. I don't care if you think I'm bitchy, 'cause everyone is bitchy. I mean, people are bitchy in their own ways. Emo kids cut themselves for attention, rappers rap about crap to make people feel sorry for them, and I get shit done. Got a problem with that?

The last thing the staff did was promote Hiei, and the only reason it happened is because he's Ultima's butt buddy. You're awesome Hiei, but it's true, sorry. :mellow:

Yeah, it is a forum, and it is online, but yeah, I always try to get stuff done. When I'm out of homework, I'm done running, and done with all my other crap, I come here. When nothing's going on here, it gets really boring, so hey, at least I try. Now if you still got a problem with that, PM me. Got it? ;)

Okay, like Puff said, this is a RPG, not a small country. If you don't like how things are held, then just leave.

I don't really know you personally, or much at all. But you seem to take alot of things to the extreme, that are completely pointless.

I'm not saying I don't like the idea, but is it really that big of a deal?

We're not "Butt buddy's," although we are good friends. Regardless, KARN instated me before he gave up the final power, and then Ultima reinstated me after taking a break. Because, see, unlike some staff members, when I can't be active I step down. And I'm a G-mod now, I was an admin before that.

The only reason you're suggesting this is to get on staff.

I fully support you being on staff and all, but the reason you aren't being promoted is due to the way you go about things. Ultima thinks you're too bitchy, along with some others. I've tried to tell you, if you want to get on staff, stop bitching. You always bitch about how you should be on staff. You're competent, and I'd like to have you on staff.

Why can't people stay on topic? Kaden is bitchy, do I care? Of course not. Just stick to the topic at hand.

A checks and balances system could be useful. . .

However, the RPG and the normal staff should definately be separate. Honestly, I think I'm one of the only normal staff members who knows anything about how to create an RPG. The RPG staff should be chosen for RPG competancy and the normal staff should be chosen for administration competancy. I guess it's similar to separation of powers or separation of church and state.

I agree with you on that they should be separated, I just couldn't find a way to do it. There're two main groups that are intrested in the RPG other than the main staff, and that's Forum Team and members. Maybe you could add in Judges/RPG volunteers and maybe even arbitors if you bring them back.

This topic is starting to piss me off really fast. The proverbial arrows being slung are starting to bother me, so tone it down, or I'll have to close it and issue some warnings.

Edit: For the sake of being on topic, Yes Dragon_Tam3r, Ultima DOES hold that much power. I don't think all decisions should be handled by Ultima. Sure, he's the root, but other people's opinions should matter a bit more.

I really haven't bothered to read much of this topic, but I'm guessing this system wouldn't work in a forum enviorment. Especially this paticular one. This isn't being posted as an insult, it's just my opinion. BUT, I'm love trying new things. ;)
