Accursed Lands. It's a great, great, great, great, MUD. Seriously, it's the best MUD I've ever played. It's roleplay-intensive, so roleplaying is enforced at all times. It's also skill-based, so there's no static leveling to gauge yourself against. You meet people in Terrinor in real-time, and at the beginning you don't know their name, but they can introduce themself, and then you just name them. This makes it so that you can never tell the difference between an NPC or player, which keeps to the generally immersive world.
The whole idea of Accursed Lands is that it's a colossal world in the dark-medieval ages. It's a pretty nonmagical world, with a few fantasy-type races and a bit of magic here and there. You basically live in the world as whatever profession floats your boat, and go about all the things that the said profession would do in their daily life.
The combat system is extremely well done, where it's type KILL and watch, but you set the parameters on how your character fights, such as the area of the opponent's body you want to hit, the areas on yours you want to protect, the balance between attack and defense, parrying and dodging, it's all very immersive, and really makes it feel as if you're in a living-breathing world.
All in all, Accursed Lands is by FAR the best game, graphical and not, I've ever played. I find that so much more detail can be conveyed in a text game than a graphical game, and Accursed Lands really shines in this aspect. I hope that some people from FEW will join, since I've seen the nice level of roleplay here.
