Title: New Ponderism...

So, I was thinking about this on the way to school...

Why do people avoid rain at almost all cost, but then, they jump into a pool whenever the chance comes up?

Rain is a nuisance because, wouldn't you agree that we're out and about in clothed and accessorized business waaaay more often than in the pool?

The occurrence of rain isn't controllable like jumps into the pool. When someone jumps into a pool they've USUALLY prepared for it by changing into swimwear and stuff like that.

Were you thinking perhaps that it had something to do with a hypocritical fear of water, or something else?

Also, rain makes conditions for sports and driving and such bad and dangerous. Just because of the sheer making things wet an' muddy...

That is exactly it. If you were all dressed up in clothes you'll be wearing for the rest of the day, you wouldn't want to get wet because you'll be cold and dripping all day long. But if your in a bathing suit, your ready for it. You won't be walking around in a bathing suit all day long, would ya?

I make a point to stand out in the rain. In Long Beach, nothing natural occurs. I'm a guy from the southern country, born of country boys to country boys. When it rains, I can almost think.

I started to think of a song when I read that.. 0.0

I'm the one who when everyone go through the bus circle, when it rains, they all go under the cover, and take the long way, I'll wait for them, scoff, and walk through the rain.

I can understand why they're trying to get out of the rain, but they look like idiots when they do that.

(Plus, it ups my orginality factor :) Yay for demening the status-quo!)

I'm actually the opposite. I enjoy walking in the rain (unless there's wind :/), but I'm not a fan of swimming. Huh.

Hmm well I'm not like any of you... sorta...

I love water in all forms. In the rain it's the perfect time for me to train for less friction fights agianst my teacher. Or if I'm just finished with the training for the day I'll probably meditate in the rain (Something I've found helps calm me down and gives me time to think...)

Plus rain also helps me cool off. If rain comes I'll delibaratly make all my work outside until it's over...

Plus the water helps me think.

When there's a pool I use it as a chance to build my muscles. I unno I just like swimming.

The reason we avoid rain is because we don't want to get hit by water without us not granting it permission to do so. Besides, everyone gets so awesomely mad at you when you drench them from jumping in a pool.
