So, after the 2 years of Middle School not being able to get in because of grades, and not being able to join as a freshman in the beginning of the year because of my coachs (Ruining half of the coaches trucks probably didn't help, but, uh, they deserved it >_> ). But I got my schedule changed last week, but couldn't get in because of pyschical form, and ect.
So anyways, today was my first day, and as a run-down of my day
2 hours before school started: Waiting for equipment coach to show up, and getting a run-down of the building (We got a new building, and the sports teams own the whole first floor), along with a Superbowl Shuffle dance for good-luck with 2 coach who are (band-wagon jumpers) Bears fans.
Then I had all my classes, along with about 25 people telling me I'm going to be sore for about 2 weeks, I just shruged it off, and thought whatever, and a couple of joke hazings.
So finally, last period, freshman offseason, "yay, I'm finally going to be with the team". We to the cafe, and wait for the coachs to get ready, and then when they're set, we run around the whole school to get into the new building. I get about 5 minutes to find my locker and get called like 6 names (Curly, Chi-town, SuperBowl Shuffle, Mr. Bears. TONEH, and.... Vonage (Don't ask >_> )). So I get dressed and like the shorts and stuff, and we run out to the mat room, after just picking a random spot because I don't have a group yet, we do all the exercises, with me like 2 steps behind everyone because I have no clue of the routine. Then, my new enemy showed up, and his name is : Up-Downs (If ya don't know, that's where they do that jog in place, and then drop yourself to the floor as fast as possible, no kneeling, you just sweep your legs our from underself, and hit the ground with your chest) It wasn't that bad, because we were on a mat, but after about the 30th one, I was already sore, and so we ended up doing it 50 times, with about 3 people throwing up (BTW, no water, none at all, untill the period's over with). So then we go out to the weight room, and I freak out because it's the coolest gym I've ever seen :P. So I get like 2 seconds to digest this before a few coaches start yelling at me telling me to go to my station, and I just pick a random one not knowing what I'm doing. So we start, and it's benchpress, I figure yay, benchpress, this is easy, so I do I think 45's (90 total), and I do like 5 and I'm good, and I look around, and see.... we have to do this a good 35 more times, so yeah, by that first station, I'm alreadyhalf-numb. Then I run in circles, and then stop at a friend's area and do squats. I've never done squats with bars, I've done it only a few times with machines, I'm a machine weight trainer :P. So I screw up the first time and almost break my neck. After a few weight changes, the coach says I have to do 10 pounds, and I can't even do squats with that low, so I just go so low that my whole leg practically touches the ground, and then get yelled at to not go that low. after that's done, we go to like 50 pounds, and after that secession's over, my shoulders and drained that whenever my heart beats, I feel like I got stabbed by like a tumb-tack. then I do hand-weights, and on the last 5, I can bearly hold up the weights, and bash my own head in. Then we're off to clean, and I've never done that, and have to have another coach take me to the side, and make me do it like 50+ times, after about 10, I'm bearly able to bring the bar an inch up, much less pick it all the way up with the weird technique you have to do.
So it's FINALLY over, and I'm bearly able to walk, and suprise, someone had an earing on the whole time, and never bothered to take it off, so guess what that means, 20 up-downs. Keeping in mind this time you're on like a concrete floor, I feel like 2 ribs breaking, and bust my knees trying to get up. I would've been fine with this if it wasn't for my Health teacher (little did I know, she's also the athletic trainer) came up to me and joked if I was okay and all, and I told her I felt fine, and then about 15 mintues later, I pull a hamstring or something, but I'm waiting for the bus and have nowhere to go, so I have to do that kind of walk that makes you look like you're limping on heels, that was about 7-8 hours ago, and still I can bearly walk. And as I get off the bus, I reliase that my arm's so sore, I need someone to pick up my back-pack for me, and I accidently smash my calf against on of the steel bars on the bus, just adding to the hamstring pain that I'm trying to cover up. So I get home (Yay living next door to the bus stop) and I topple over onto the living room couch, and then, again, I reliase, I'm too sore to get up, and I had to call my parents (They're very panicky, and I have to call my mom everyday telling her I'm home >_>).
So, the only reason I'm on this late is well, I can finally feel my arms! :ihavepie:
(I refuse to make a MySpace, but now I wish I have one, because I have so much more to say, but yall wouldn't understand half of it anyways)
So uh, yeah, basically all I wanted to know was if yall are in any sports at your school and if you have any experiences like that. :rolleyes:
Hope you feel better now.
Darn, you have a life. =X
That's great, sounds like tough work though. I really want to try football before high school, unfortunatley I forgot to sign up this season because I was preoccupied with my first season of travel Soccer. I just want to have as many sports options as possible in High School besides just soccer, so in the next two years I'll be playing any sport I can try. So far Soccer, Football, Track, and Basketball are the ones I'm most interested in. I just hope I can convince my coaches in highschool to allow me to play to fall sports. ;_;
If you mean fall sports as in instead of the off-season, then as far as my coaches, they practically tell you to do another sport, most of the time that people don't join one, coach signs them up for track, and they do after school running aswell as the in-school offseason stuff. :P
