This isn't a rant topic, but this needs to be addressed if you really care about the place.

FEW has 50 posts today, the top poster with 8 fucking posts. Proof. When I returned to this board when I got my net back, you guys were boasting activeness. I took your word for it, rather than do any research. Things weren't horrible, I was a lot more comfortable here than I had ever been... (until SpiralStatic attacked me for no reason, but that's a different story, for a different time..) But after a while I started comparing it to FEF, FEP, and all the other big sites, and boy... ALL OF THE SITES HAD IMPROVED, EXCEPT FOR FEW! FEP has went from a dead site/forum to a forum that averages 700-1000 posts per day. Same with Fusion. God knows how FESS is doing. You guys thought you were more active, but you really weren't. Or at least you aren't now. 50 posts in one day is not a good daily post count. And yes, it is the average of FEW. FEW has about a 50-70 posts per day average, compared to FEF with a 500-900 posts per day average.. (This is all estimating, but I assure you, it's quite accurate.)

You guys need to consider some real changes here. Besides taking away shit that could have helped you! Instead of seeing you guys add changes that could help activity, I see you take them away! I know that the website is a difficult feature to manage, believe me, I've dealt with it at Fusion. Not a fun task, but it helps. In fact FEF merging with EFED is probally why they have such a large population and activity lately. Sure it sacrificed some of the boards past quality of posting, but at that it's become a stable, friendly, active, and large forum. Instead of destroying a completed website, that needs content, why don't you add content!? Or find somebody capable of adding a lot of content? I could have personally brought that website to that success, but you just gave up!

Don't get me wrong, the reason I'm posting this is because I care. Fusion was my first forum. It openned up a large part of my life now, that I enjoy a lot. I eventually joined the other sections of the fandom. I haven't been really active at any of the places, but I wittnessed ECW's downfall for the most part, and I wittnessed the near downfall of Fusion. Dude I would be pretty fucking bored with out these places so I don't want to see this one fall too. Right now Fusion, FEP, and FESS are the big three. ECW died, and you've been pushed out. That's my opinion, and it's pretty much factual no matter what you say. We can change that though.

But what to do? If you still have the layout and the content, of the old website you could send me the files and I could host them on my website and manage it. I'll take care of advertising, content, and all of that. I just need you guys to back me up.

The RPG won't work. Is there anybody participating in it right now...? Is there even a RPG right now? O_O I don't know, because it's such a non-enjoyable part of the board. T_T It may be to others, but if you look at the general audience, it's just more work for you. I suggest taking it down if you do have one, and wait for a little bit. I don't think it would be wise to concentrate on something like that it would be a waste of time until you get active again. After we get to a certain step, we can try it again, to see if it will arouse (I like that word) anybody's interest. If we can get a large interst and a non-complicated RPG I'm sure we can get a load of members to join. But believe me that's rushing it.

We need a new look too. This is kind of old, and the skin changer not only ruins the effects of these skins but it takes up a lot of wrapper space. :( I remember working with Hiei on a new skin (oops if I leaked anythign confidential :x) and it looked nice, but I don't know if he's going to follow through wiht it. I think it would be better to get a IFSZ skin.

I think the staff needs to be revised. And to me, it seems like they all do jack shit. So here's what I propose.

Any other staff groups and members are pointless in my eyes. That's my ideal staff, right there. It's all you need, and it's all you need for a while until you guys can back on your feet. It's not neccessarily the staff you have to choose, nor do you have to change staff at all. But I highly reccomend some changes, and those changes I think would do a lot for the forum. I have reason's for all of them, and if you want any specifics on any of the paticular changes I'll be glad to explain further.

So any comments or ideas of your own?

And I'm so flattered you all think I don't have a life? That's a bullshit excuse that doesn't change the fact that FEW is dying! I have a life, I play sports, I hang out with friends, I play music, ect. Last time I checked that's what people consider a life. Oh yeah, I go to school, and plenty of other extracurricular (SP?) activities, yet you don't see me inactive. The reason people leave is simply because they have no reason to stay, and they're bored with it. Unless you have a death in your family, or having other personal problems I highly doubt you're booked so much that you can't make it to make a few posts on a fucking FE forum.

You see, all this time the only active members this place has ever had have been the same members from teh begginning. The really reliable ones. That's fine, in fact it's a good thing. But eventually these people will grow out of it, or like it seems many people have been will run into personal problems. That happens at forums, but that shouldn't mean the end of it.

Everyone has said that same thing. Still doesn't get us anywhere.

You people act as if this is a religious sanction. Like, we're forced by some higher being to visit a freaking internet forum. If you can make time in your schedule for FEW, that's fantastic. But you can't expect EVERYONE to-- even if they have nothing to do (like me).

I've become attached to FEW, so I *try* to get on every day (sometimes I can't; either too much homework, or my dad is being a douche)--it's impossible for me to leave FEW, though I said I was going to a few times this year.
I like to visit FEW because of the curiosity of "who said what now"? Or "what kind of debacles are starting up"? Or... Whatever, I think you get the point.

So what if FEW doesn't average as much posts as the others do? SO WHAT? Only a handful of people are active-- it's a cozy little family. Sure, it gets boring if nothing is going on... That's when you start surfin' around and bring something to FEW that could possible be entertaining for a few hours, or days... Even a few minutes. Hell, that's good, too.

I'm only going to address one thing at the moment.

Chou and ZKX are easily the two best G-Mods at the moment. Although I haven't seen Strike or Ultima doing much, none of the staff is really doing anything, including myself, so there's no blaming them. If you wanna blame anybody, blame the whole staff. However, just wait, there're certain points during the year where activity is just at a low. This place was booming over the holiday break, now that school's back activity's back down.

Now, what do I think? Yeah, this place needs some change, some major change if you want it to succeed, but from what I've seen, people just want to come here to have fun and talk, that's what I learned the hard way. X_X To tell you the truth, maybe 1/10th of the people here care how we are compared to FEF.

Edit: I know this makes me look like the biggest hipocrit ever, but eh, I've learned my lesson.

Overall, you and Kaden are telling me you both don't care? You can evolve into a bigger forum with more members and still come to have fun and talk. There's no problem with that at all. But if you have no intention to improve then why have a staff at all!? To make things better for the 7 active members. Doesn't seem all that fun to me.. :(

How much is 1/10 of FEW's active members. That's a lot out of how many members active.. because it looks to me like there aren't even 10 active in the first place. x______X FEF is your competition, you shoudl strive to be better than them. To be bigger, better, more exciting, and more fun!

Exactly bosco. FEF doesn't give a crap about FEW, and FEW doesn't give the crap about FEF. Your point fails. NEVER has anyone here said that FEF sucks. I was made G-Mod what, 2 weeks ago? What the hell has happened since then that really requires modship? Umm... I understand that we definitely need new members, and thus we need new stuff. I actually had a random thought sometime that the board had no activity. In the case of needing a new RPG, I wrote everything I remembered from the first one and sent it to Rey last night. I can't see how we could actually get new people to come without an RPG or something of that nature. :/

The Forum Team has made somewhat of an effort to work, but eh. It's hard to work on things if the staff is inactive and the members are active, it leaves little room for improvement. However, if anybody wants to help and give it a little bit of effort, I'll do my best to help.
