Title: School Closed?

Silenthunder - February 7, 2007 04:30 AM (GMT)
This year I haven't gotten more than 3 inches of snow this year yet, and usually we have lots. We just got our first out yesterday bcuz someone let the air out of all of the bus's front tires. ^_^ Today we had a 2 hour delay and were having another tomorrow since it's about 0 degrees in the morning. Anyone else have delays?/closings?

Dragon_Tam3r - February 7, 2007 04:33 AM (GMT)
We had a ice day, no snow days here in Texas (Go figure)

Congo rats though xD

Severian - February 7, 2007 04:33 AM (GMT)
It's been crazy cold here during Feb after a warm Jan and Feb, but no real snow.

It's sad. I miss snow days.

strikeraider827 - February 7, 2007 12:25 PM (GMT)
We should be cancelled again... THe roads are crap. Brandy, MESS UP THE FRICKIN' BUSES!!!

Alex - February 7, 2007 02:27 PM (GMT)
I got no school today... for only an inch of snow! ^_^

Arcan - February 7, 2007 03:34 PM (GMT)
Early Feb/late Jan has been fun :)

Between the last three weeks, I've missed five days of school, had two two hour delays, and one day of getting out early. Before that, we had nothing.

Same here. Hooray for DC area!

Just don't even talk to me about snow days. Don't. I'm so mad at my school.

See, I live in Newfoundland. We get about a bajillion storms a winter; 3 in one week alone earlier on. The thing is, we never get "blizzard warnings", so, the schools NEVER close. They only close for "blizzard warnings". Not "snow squall warnings" or "wind warnings". And it's not even fair because all the other schools around except mine have gotten at least part of the past 3 days off (all had snow squall warnings).

I'm done.

They cancelled here - Monday and Tuesday - 'cause it's "too cold." They should have cancelled today and the rest of the week. The temp. won't go up until next week.

Hiyami - February 7, 2007 09:35 PM (GMT)
It IS cold. I thought it was two inches, but it melted away so quickly! I wanted to make a snowman! T_T

You poor thing. It's pretty tough to make a snowman with 2 inches... It'll only end up being a snow-midget.

Dragon_Tam3r - February 7, 2007 11:06 PM (GMT)
I'd be fine with a snowball, damn you non-existant Texan snow!

Silenthunder - February 8, 2007 01:04 AM (GMT)
Yeah here we only had 1 full-closing and that is because someone let the air out of all of the school buses' front tires. Everyday this week has been a 2 hour delay though which isn't bad. :P

Kipdog - February 8, 2007 01:09 AM (GMT)
I had both Monday and Tuesday off due to extreme weather conditions.

'Cause we're cool like that. *high-five*

Awww, c'mon, Kippy. Don't leave me hangin'.

School's closed.

Harbl AIDS in the school.

Kaden - February 8, 2007 01:35 AM (GMT)
So far this SCHOOL year, we've gotten 2 days off. We got those off after an ice storm. However, when conditions are twice as bad and the wind chill is 20 below, we can't cancel school because of a basketball tournament. We were honestly the ONLY school district open that day. Seven buses got stuck, and over 10 people got in wrecks on the way to MY school. High school was probably worse.

Sorry, I was told only girls did high fives in these times.

As long as you dont tell anyone though, I will high five you. Why? Cause I feel the fact that we got Monday and Tuesday off deserves such an occassion of a high five.

Ditto

strikeraider827 - February 8, 2007 11:32 AM (GMT)
Two hour delay so far. C'mon cancellation!

Hiyami - February 8, 2007 12:49 PM (GMT)
We got two hours delay today, too....

Alex - February 8, 2007 07:36 PM (GMT)
Fuck you Virginia-ers. :(

Us Maryland-ers had to go to school. T_T

sara13987 - February 8, 2007 08:35 PM (GMT)
Don't complain. No snow days yet, and I bet I have more snow than most of you. There's a drift on the school roof, for heaven's sake! They have to get people to go out and shovel all the snow off the roof. :/

LoZfan03 - February 8, 2007 09:30 PM (GMT)
wimps. it's barely been above 0 in the last week or two, without factoring in windchill and we even had 3-5 inches tuesday. and we get nothing, no delay, no snow day, no hot chocolate.

Lades - February 8, 2007 09:37 PM (GMT)
Meh. One day last month was let off...but it wasn't related to weather. Bomb Threat. I was wondering who'd get around to it this year.

Hiyami - February 8, 2007 09:56 PM (GMT)
Really? How cruel! Oh, bother... Whyever not? If it's so cold there, surely they allow some freedom?

Silenthunder - February 8, 2007 11:28 PM (GMT)
Eh no delays today. I guess school wants us to tough out the cold weather. Today seemed like it took forever.

Really? We don't get days off when we have bomb scares. We're usually out for an hour or two at most, then back in school.

Most people skip after that anyway, but we still technically have school...

strikeraider827 - February 9, 2007 02:24 AM (GMT)
2 hour delay, but I have to be at school personally before 7. I'm not going to school, persay. District competition. ^_^
