Title: Freaked Out

Well, we don't know much right now, but here's what we do know.
-A chemical plant in North Kansas City caught fire around 2:15, Central Time.
-It's gotten bigger and bigger every minute since then.
-No one knows what exactly is burning in there.
-They've evacuated everything within a mile of the plant, and closed all North Kansas City schools.
-This place is like, 10 minutes away from my house, and I can see it out my windows. (I'm lucky though 'cause I live to the north and the wind is coming from the north, thus it's blowing away.)
This is just really freaky, 'cause my dad's a fire fighter and I have no idea where he is. I'll post more when they figure out the facts.
Edit: Oh snap, so they found out that it's a Chicago based company, that makes house cleaning products, adhesives, and many other things like that. That's not exactly the best chemical to have burning by your house, but it's not the worst either.

CHICAGO!
xD, my dads works at HEB (a Texas based store chain, like Kroger, Walmart..), and he was working at the "SNACKS Plant", where they make chips at stuff like that, and one of the friers randomly blew up, and my dad said he was like a foot away from getting burned to death, he said he did that whole 007 type run and jump. He was far enough away so that he could've just stood where he was and pretty much would've been fine, but he likes to be silly like that. And anyways, they had this huge cover-up about it, I'm suprise they're telling the details about what's happening near you already.

Yeah, I'm just glad the wind is from the north, 'cause the entire north section of town is residential crap. The firefighters fighting it reported the chemical smoke creating rain, and that it looked like nighttime at 3:00 pm. It's pretty crazy, looks like a huge mushroom cloud.

Scary :(
I hope everything turns out ok.
Should you guys stay inside? Could breathing in the fumes be bad and stuff?

Well, he did say that the wind was blowing towards the factory, so the air should be rather safe. Still pretty fucked up though.

Well, they don't know EXACTLY what's in ther eburning, so they're saying if you're anywhere within 20 miles to the south that you should stay inside and within 10, you should be evacuated.
