Title: Not to be pushy, but....

dark menace - April 5, 2007 01:46 AM (GMT)
but ever since we had the Bosco Wars (I took the liberty of giving it a name) absolutely nothing has changed. Now, I'm sure you admins or whosoevers are working very hard to make the changes you said you would make, but I think it would be nice to give an update now and then.... y'know.... in some kind of forum where we have updates.... that would be a good idea. Cause its discouraging for us (or at least me) to not see any visible progress....

thats all

I'm tired. We're all tired.

Hiei - April 5, 2007 05:54 AM (GMT)
You can't expect the staff to do anything. Hell, I haven't seen anything new since I retired. And when I was still on staff, ZeroKirby X and I were the only ones who actually did anything. Well, Strike too on occasions.

Esgalglinion - April 5, 2007 07:39 AM (GMT)
What is it that we want to have done then?

Dragon_Tam3r - April 5, 2007 01:07 PM (GMT)
So, what? Are we just waiting for the official "This Board's Dead, Get The Hell Out" notice?

Puff - April 5, 2007 06:02 PM (GMT)
Why change stuff put up notices, when only a handful of people are atually active?

There'd be a little conversation or "Hey, cool. Good job, guys" in the update topic, then it'd die. And then some weeks or months later some return-ee or new member'd be all "HEY! Nice work!"

Does anyone else see that as... um... pointless (for lack-of-a-better-term)?

Hiei - April 5, 2007 06:36 PM (GMT)
Puff's right, we shouldn't make any attempt to improve the board, and just let it die down. Sheer brilliance.

Reydemagival20635 - April 5, 2007 08:11 PM (GMT)
And Hiei once again fails to say something without trolling. Cut the undertones.

Dragon_Tam3r - April 5, 2007 09:44 PM (GMT)
Hiei vs. Reyde (Again....again....again....again...w/e >_>)!!!

DING DING DING!
ROUND EIGHT HUNRED SIXTY TWO!

Anyways, if we only have a few people active (if you can even call it that), and most of them are bickering amoungst themselves, then we don't have much of a chance do we?

Blademastersupreme - April 6, 2007 12:14 AM (GMT)
Main thing is this forum is what you'd have to call...too big. You all have your cliques and groups and shit that are intimadating to newer members. (I say you all because I still feel like I n00b even though I've been here for over a year.)

sara13987 - April 6, 2007 01:18 AM (GMT)
I really don't think of it as cliques, actually. I just have a circle of friends, or at least people I can talk to. Problem is, I never make the first move in making new friends, unless I'm hyper. We're really only intimidating if you let us be. ^_^

Well, we can't really expect a new RPG or anything to be up soon. I mean, it'd be slightly hypocritical if I forced them, huh? About my RPG: it's at another "producer's block", and I'm hoping over the week or two I'll be home for surgery that I'll finish it. Maybe sooner, if I'm really lucky, but stuff's starting to come up, sorry. :/

Dragon_Tam3r - April 6, 2007 03:23 PM (GMT)
Cliques? I've been here for over 2 years, and I've seen so many cliques been made, then screwed over within a month. And the only real place you see the cliques in action, is the RPG, which ends up turning into a game of "Who will wait the longest to backstab their partner, and how fast/well can they do it?"

Not what I was saying at all.

I'm all for improvement of the board; it's just seemingly pointless to put up updates with only, like, 5 to 10 "active" members.

Hm. Then again, it DOES make the staff look lazy when they don't tell us stuff. Noone is saying that the topics in Updates have to be "formal," right? 2 or 5 minutes typing up a... well... general notice isn't that bad.

I hate contradicting myself...

Sad but true.

From FEW staffs, you can't really expect crap to be done. If the staff was copmletely redone with new members, they'd eventually get just as much complaining as other staffs and FEW'd still be just one big bleh. On here, when stuff gets done it's because of the members getting a good idea and the staff maybe making a forum for them to expand upon the idea. If the staff gets involved it dies.

Yeah, I somewhat agree with puff, we don't really need to do anything, just have members ride it out and wait 'till summer. FEW is always soooooo much more active in summer. But the least the staff could do is maybe make it a little more interesting for the members.
