Title: New Rule for the Standard Arena
Description: Also a New Rule for Spars

Pondy - June 14, 2007 07:11 AM (GMT)
New Rule for in the Standard Arena:
Nobody is allowed to have more than 6 battles in 1 Topic. This is to prevent people from bulking up tons of battles, posting them all in 1 topic, and judges being forced to judge all of them before moving on. Also, nobody is allowed to post consecutive topics. Basically, that way they don't post 5 topics in a row with 6 battles each in them.

New Rule for the Spar Arena:
Nobody is allowed to be sparring with more than 6 characters at any given time. This is similar to the New Rule for in the Standard Arena, but I'm nipping in the butt before it gets a chance to give me a reason to make this rule.

Caught you, Alex. ;)

what the fuck? Thats retarded. I asked for all those fights and judges should expect to eventually have to actually judge anyway. And its not like thats automatically making me better than everyone else, because anybody can ask for just as many fights. It's just being smart and actually trying to make my characters better. You're being a little too strict with this new RPG, and I'm telling you right now that you just completely randomly sprung this lameass rule, and I'm not getting rid of my current topic.

Esgalglinion - June 14, 2007 09:31 AM (GMT)
What's the big deal? If you have a shitload of battles at the same time, you should post 5 of them, then wait until someone posts, then post the others. It's gonna take some time to get the others judged as well, so what's the rush?

And it's not called being smart, it's called hogging up all the fun. Come on, think about it. If you have a single topic with all your battles in it, you can just clog up the whole thing, making it impossible for us to move on to another character's battles, since you can just edit your post to make them include more battles as you get them.

Lionheart - June 14, 2007 05:17 PM (GMT)
What difference does it make if you have them all together in the same topic? You might as well just get all your battles posted at one time and get them over with, because everyone wants their battles judged as soon as they can be done.

Esgalglinion - June 14, 2007 05:28 PM (GMT)
Because if you post them in the same topic, and you post 20 battles in the same topic, all those 20 battles have to be judged before you can move on to the next topic, since you can't tell what battles that was posted first. That makes it even easier to make Grados/Sayelms/WLs as you have the chance to grow 6 levels, while others cannot grow at all.

What about the Post-Grado Carcino and Banb of Heros? Okay, they didn't own ~as much~ as the other 3, but still <_<

Couldn't you effectively do the same thing as before, but split them into only 6 battles per topic, but have multiple topics?

I've seen alot of people make like 15 topics for 15 battles; personally in a judges's PoV, I much rather have all the battles in one topic.

EDIT: OH, didn't see the last half of the rule XD

Couldn't 2 people team up and do that then?

Person 1's 6 battles
Person 2's 6 battles
Person 1's 6 battles
Person 2's 6 battles
Person 1's 6 battles
Person 2's 6 battles

?

We're not allowed to make a lot of consecutive topics, so that's no problem, really. >_>

Read my edit pl0x

They will all get judged anyway, it's just easier to have them all in one topic so you can get them all done and over with sooner. If you just make one topic, there's no need to have to make multiple ones, so you can just keep your one big one, get them judged, and then you're taken care of. And people will level up highly just as easily whether they have one huge topic or not, because they will just keep posting more and more topics. And anybody could easily do the same thing if they even cared about leveling up.

UnrealBlight - June 14, 2007 06:01 PM (GMT)
And if you're so conserned about the making a battle, and then having it when you've leved problem, you're just making it worse, because if they have to wait before they post the topic, then that's just more time for the person to level higher then their opponent.

Esgalglinion - June 14, 2007 06:03 PM (GMT)
Then where's the problem in limiting the amount of battles in the same topic?

Lionheart - June 14, 2007 06:10 PM (GMT)
He's saying that it gives your characters more time to level up in completely other topics. Like Mirror battles, or topics posted by other members. And if you're not currently online to post another topic, your character could level up faster because of other topics, which could make a previously agreed upon fight more unfair.

UnrealBlight - June 14, 2007 06:15 PM (GMT)
Yeah, what Ultima said <_<

Alex - June 14, 2007 10:46 PM (GMT)
Wow, were you fucking reading the Etruria topic? Please, save me the bullshit of you "figuring" it out. You were clueless when we last talk and then suddenly you realize it AFTER I post my topic? Don't even try and reply with your bullshit.

God, these fucking rules make it so you need to be on everyday for a substantial amount of time to level up because you can only do a certain amount of battles per day and you can't even judge your own fights.

Pondy - June 15, 2007 01:27 AM (GMT)
You can do as many battles as you want in a day, just not all at the same time.

I didn't really figure it out, per say. It was mainly when I saw Ultima's topic. That kind of shit can cause some major issues. There were (about)10 battles in there, and the judges are forced to judge all of them before anybody else got any experience. It gives people that do it an unfair advantage, and makes it very monotonous for judges.

Sorry these rules are causing such an uproar, but it's like I said in the original post; I'm nipping this in the butt before it actually becomes a big problem.

Duh.

Anybody can make just as many fights. Plus if you even pay attention to my topic, I only had a total of two level ups between all three of my characters. I'm still the root admin here, and I'm putting my foot down, because this rule is too ridiculous. This rule is not passing.

UnrealBlight - June 15, 2007 05:27 AM (GMT)
You've made 3 topics with room for 6 battles each, I interpreted as no actual player may have 6 sparrings at one given moment, is it that, or only 6 per character?

EDIT: Own'd...

Oh, so what, you let me do all of the work, and then as soon as I don't do something that you like, all of a sudden you have 100% authority again?

Way to act just like my 8 year old cousin, Ultima.

Lionheart - June 15, 2007 05:59 AM (GMT)
I never said I was going to work on starting the RPG. But if there's still a random, and very pointless rule posted, I can tell say that it doesn't, and won't be passed. I'm still the root here, and I have the final word.

This rule is NOT Passed. That's final. Please continue with your battles everybody.
