Title: Star Ocean 3: Till the End of Time
strikeraider827 - June 16, 2007 03:05 PM (GMT)
Before I go along, this is a great game. I recommend it to anyone with a PS2 needing a good RPG. I was a good ways through when my PS2 memory card was corrupted. I've finally gotten back to playing it recently.
For anyone who has played it, the final member of my party will be Nel or Peppita. I don't know which to choose. I wanted some input. Any suggestions?

Never played, but any idea how it compares to Star Ocean 2nd Story?

No, not at all. I never played Second Story, although I've heard of it.

Secound story rocks better than 3 in storywise i think. (Dias rules in SO2)
I also recommend SO3 to any one with a ps2

Nel would probally be your best choice. Mostly because of the fact the her move sets are a little better than peppita and you won't have to waste the support symbol item on her to give her heal. Nel all the way. With Nel once you get Mirror Slice you'll be good to go :)

Either one will be the 7th person on my team (Mirage is the only person I won't use.) My starting rotation is Albel, Maria, and Sophia.

You have a good team. Ours is basically the same except I used Fayt as a melee person. Maria is for backup and Sophia for healing and other helping. The actual story part of the game is pretty easy so you could use anyone but its really the after-game you worry about if you really want to look at the layout of your team. Especially for bosses like Lenneth, Freya ect. You should have no problem if you use that team

My regulars are now Albel, Nel, and Sophia

I love Albel. ^_^ He's freaking awesome.
I'm alternating everybody at Moonbase right now. This is the first place where levels are snowballing insanely.
Would ROger be a better choice than Nel or Peppita?

I guess. I used him to pwn the crap out of Lenneth on Universe mode. All I really did was sit back and watch. He's a good character and if you fight with him right can have even more HP than cliff(I think mine is 80,000 right now o.O). His moves are nice and can tank for the rest of your party members. Only let down is that his last move(not by lv'ing) but the one you get from the folio was toned down to the point where it was weak. Was to strong in the jap version so they made it weak in our version :( . Otherwise he'd make a good choice especially once he reaches lv50 and gets the raging helm ability. My universe mode team is Fayt Neal and Roger and he did a pretty good job for me

I'd also like to pipe in and recommend this game to anyone with a PS2. It is very entertaining, atleast it was for me when I played it.

Yeah, speaking of which, it's a pity that I can't seem to find my TTEOT game... I'm so sad, I've had to cover the time with Suikoden IV... and that game's rather sub-par... the fucking boat...

I haven't even played suikoden IV yet. Someday I'll get it and V, though.
I actually thought III was better than I and II in some ways, it just didn't cut it in terms of story compared to II.
The gameplay was the easiest once you got used to it, but for a while it was pretty tricky.
Reydemagival20635 - June 21, 2007 05:09 PM (GMT)
Nah dude, Suikoden IV ain't worth it. Just skip over it and get V. IV's annoying as hell, takes too fucking long to be on the high seas, gawd, it's annoying.
EDIT: [On Topic] Well, I found my SO3 game. I'm playing through it from start to finish again, and I'm actually doing battle trophies this time... I always forget to initialize...
