Title: Music that nobody would expect you to listen to.

Pondy - June 21, 2007 06:38 PM (GMT)
Just post a song that nobody on here would expect you to listen to. Like, in Hiei's case, nobody would expect him to listen to, say, a Celine Dion song. In Alex's case, nobody would expect him to listen to a Jim Jones song. Get the idea?

"Little Wonders" - Rob Thomas

I'm usually one for rock or hip-hop, but I have a soft spot for Rob's music since Matchbox 20. 3 AM was great. :)

What a Wonderful World - Louie Armstrong

Yup.

Esgalglinion - June 21, 2007 07:24 PM (GMT)
Anything by Good Charlotte/Blink 182/Angels and Airwaves

I can't stand them. Not in the little bit, even. Especially GC and A&A.

Yup.

Satchmo was the shit.

Ummmmm...

Anything by Muse. I like most music, but can't stand muse. Don't know any of their songs. :P

Can we see me loving rap, dears? :P

Kakashi_The_Alchemist - June 21, 2007 08:33 PM (GMT)
Move Bitch - Ludacris :P

Pondy - June 21, 2007 10:49 PM (GMT)
Um, yeah, this topic is supposed to be songs that people wouldn't expect you to listen to, but you actually listen to it. Just saying stuff that you would never listen to doesn't really count. <_<

KuraiKitsune - June 21, 2007 10:53 PM (GMT)
I listen to Queen. Does that count? XD

Kakashi_The_Alchemist - June 21, 2007 10:56 PM (GMT)
Oh, alright.

Uh.... Young Joc, Backstreet Boys, Justin Timberlake :P

Edit: I wasn't listening to the song, I just wrote it down

sara13987 - June 21, 2007 11:14 PM (GMT)
I listen to some rap and techno? :P

Trace Stratus - June 22, 2007 01:19 AM (GMT)
I like Ozzy Osburn's new song(hey...you know how lazy I am, you look up the song name!). Don't think people here expect me to like classic rock AND post hardcore.

Kaden - June 22, 2007 01:29 AM (GMT)
Three- The Sound of Animals Fighting

Eh, only song of theirs I've found that I like, pretty dang heavy, and heavy's usually not my thing. There's actually nothing I listen to that you WOULDN'T expect me to listen to. I got a pretty wide range... just not screamo or metal... or some classic rock. Just can't stand it.

Edit: Or new Greenday or U2, would never listen to any of that... EVER!

KuraiKitsune - June 22, 2007 06:27 AM (GMT)
While I normally loathe Justin Timberlake's songs...

I can't stop listening to Sexy Back. I'm not sure why. It's... catchy.

Or maybe because it's on a funny youtube video. That might be it.

strikeraider827 - June 22, 2007 12:53 PM (GMT)
Uh... I can on occasion stand the Pussycat Dolls...? And Lily Allen? Their music is catchy. SO there, that's what you couldn't expect.

Valter - June 22, 2007 01:21 PM (GMT)
I meant it. I like Louie Armstrong.

I also like Amy Winehouse. Try to make me go to rehab, I said nooo nooo no.

Alex - June 22, 2007 06:46 PM (GMT)
Everytime We Touch - Cascada

Although it's not that weird since I like a lot of songs that females sing. This one is just very pop-ish and not rock-ish. >_>

Evesgallion - June 22, 2007 07:15 PM (GMT)
Mmmm... Classical.

I love most classical music, not really anything in particular. But I prefer piano solo songs.

RIIIIIIIILLLOOOOOOOOO KILLEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYY! House of Blues in Orlando, great show.

Reydemagival20635 - June 22, 2007 08:47 PM (GMT)
Um... Coldplay, I guess... since I'm all hard rock... and Coldplay's... not hard at all...

Puff - June 22, 2007 10:31 PM (GMT)
"Get Low" by Lil Jon feat. The Ying Yang Twins.

I was actually obsessed with that at one time... still love it, just not as much

I was about to ask for clarification.

That's the default "no one expects you to listen to it but you listen to it anyway" music. I listen to queen and I don't know why.

Classical is the sort of music people expect me to listen to even though I don't. I do like it, but I've just never really gotten into it.

My dad has a small selection of classical on his itunes files, so I play that when I'm playing starcraft (SPACE OPERA!). Other than that, not much.

Anyway, for me....country songs filled with references to god and jesus. Holy shit. I'm not exactly atheist but I'm not christian either. Merle Haggard, Bob Wills, Johnny Cash, John Prine, Hubbard among others. Well, they aren't as jesus filled as some of the others... *Gets shot for listening to country*

People are constantly surprised that I like blues and jazz. I don't know why. There are definitely more nerdy white people listening to jazz than black people. Definitely in NYC. My favorite...probably Ahmad Jamal. Unlike Cat Stevens (we miss you), he's continued to produce some incredible sounds on the piano even after converting.

Oh, and Slick Rick. There's this whole backstory I have with him.
EDIT-Not only is he rap, but he's pretty old rap at this point.

Classical
I love it, helps me calm down and find peace
Also my fav piano piece is Moonligh Sonata (i think thats what its called)

Also for some reason i like Jap songs
I dont understand what there saying but there catchy and ive learnt the words and i dont even speakl Jap

Severian - June 23, 2007 12:03 AM (GMT)
I don't like japanese songs much unless they're associated with a beginning/ending that I like. Like that song with Yashuwa shock from fist of the north star.

Fenix - June 23, 2007 12:09 AM (GMT)
If the music can get me into it then ill learn it and sing, but the thing is i kind of started learning them subcounciously.
One day i was inuyasha (one of the first episodes) then all of a sudden i started singing the ending theme and i diddnt even know i knew it, then my mom came in and gave me the WTF look.
