One of the most amazing wrestlers in professional wrestling history IMO was found dead, with the rest of his immediate family in his Atlanta home earlier today (June 25th).

The news was released around 5:30 PM, only and hour an a half before WWE RAW aired.

For the sake of sincerity, WWE decided to stop the Vince McMahon's death storyline for a tribute show in honor of the one and only.

Warm wishes go out to the rest of his loved ones, along with the friends of the rest of his family.

Im actually really sad over this cuase Chris was one of my fav wrestlers.
I had to stop watching the tribute cuase after seeing Chavo and Edge cry like that got me a little upset. (go ahead and laugh if you want)
Im pretty sure there will be some news by the end of the week about the cause of death.

Call me selfish, but I'm kinda pissed now. I got tickets from Smackdown, and it's tomorrow (remember it's recorded) but if they do the same thing, I've been waiting for nothing.

Personally i liked the royal rumble (RVD was there ^_^ )
Also that ECW match they showed that aired like a week ago where Chris gets a knee to the face from the top ropes looked fucking painful (even more painful then when my friend put me in his own made up move, god that hurt i only lasted 5 secs before i tapped out)

Well, I never really like Benoit. Never really hated him, just didnt care for him. But I am definantly sad to see him gone and with his family. I have my own theories but I dont want to jump to any conclusions.

I don't know anything about pro wrestling, but I have heard his name before. I think every death is a sad one, but this gets a bit sadder since it's his whole family and all.

Despite the fact that I never watch pro-wrestling... it is sad to see another notable canadian face disapear...

I don't think it was a murder-suicide, I suspect it was just a really well planned case; like the case with that little girl who may or may not have been murdered by her own family members then left in their basement.

I'm not into wrestling, but 3 lives lost are 3 lives lost. May you three rest in peace.

Weather or not he committed suicide after killing his own family or not, I'll still remember him as one of the best wrestlers ever.

Benoit was one of my favorite wrestlers, and I too, like UB refuse to believe he would just go off the deep end and kill his two most precious loved ones for no reason. Benoit will be sorely missed no matter what the truth is though.

Yeah, I saw that too. According to my news sourse, it would seem he was on steroids, although it's not confirmed 100%. His wife and son had a Bible next to them when the police found them. Hm.

Yeah, I heard the Bible thing too. According to WWE.com, they are almost 100% sure that he wasn't on steroids. They said that his frequent physical exams showed no sign, and no illegal substances where found around his house.

So right there, removes your steroid theory.

Heard somewhere that his wife was having mental breakdowns recently, and then having the horrible case of food poisoning, and seeing her own son cough up blood freaked her out immensely, and that there was actual evidence of her almost killing her son. Although it's pretty much assumed she didn't actually kill him, I'd see how once Benoit was notified that his own wife was getting close to kill her son, he'd have a mental breakdown aswell.

With the newer timeline, I'm starting to believe they could have just died due to food poisoning, and then he couldn't deal with it all, and hung himself. Have you seen the text messages he sent out... they are so fucking eerie to me.

Benoit choked his wife and suffocated his kid, immediately succeeded by hanging himself. It's really hard for me to feel bad for him.
