I tested it out to see if it's balanced and it seems so. You can test it out yourselves if you'd like. You guys can tell me what you think and branch off the idea. I just want to see some more variety in class options.

I... love... you... for this.
Trace Stratus - July 8, 2007 01:45 AM (GMT)
lol, glad to hear it. :P
Won't happen though unless an admin or g-mod approves. >< I just want to RP a monk!
UnrealBlight - July 8, 2007 01:52 AM (GMT)
Sound Familiar.....Yours is actually thought out though,
EDIT: Hah, forgot I put that edit in XD
Trace Stratus - July 8, 2007 01:58 AM (GMT)
lol, actually no. I rarely read the Request topics. :P
Thanks, I had the idea for a while and even posted these three classes a while back with weapons and all: Martial Artist(Monk is taken ><), Psion, and Druidic (not the elder kind but nature kind and druid is taken too! ><) They didn't say

Seems like it'd be a bitch to train, but quite useful in wars, due to its high con and its special abilities.
Trace Stratus - July 8, 2007 02:05 AM (GMT)
Thanks. ^^
Yeah, it's low damage output hurts a lot and disadvantage towards critical eliminates some of the most popular builds. The build makes a very good meat shield though and could also make a speed freak. Even with a 0 in two stats they will become 12 by level 20 and no stat caps can make a VERY specialized character. There accuracy is very good
Evesgallion - July 8, 2007 02:43 AM (GMT)
Speed + hit build for the people would really take them out.
Or a strength + speed
Trace Stratus - July 8, 2007 03:01 AM (GMT)
Problem with builds that involve speed and/or to hit is that putting to many points into either one hurts your other stats. Speed and accuracy only need to be so much higher than the enemies and if it's to high then you suffer against their strengths.
Strength, I think is a stat you can't get enough. Their is no such thing as putting to many points into damage unless you can even kill a tank in one hit and the unarmed fighter lack in damage because of his/hers lack of weapons. You can make up for it though by taking advantage of the "no stat caps" for unarmed fighters.
Evesgallion - July 8, 2007 03:19 AM (GMT)
still you could make a great speed built character if you don't mind the lack of damage and defense.
Trace Stratus - July 8, 2007 03:41 AM (GMT)
Yeah, the all "good" condition, lack of weighted weapon, and lack of stat caps gives them the best capabilities for a speed build.

It might be worth having some sort of small boosts to unarmed combat which'd go a bit to make up for lack of weapon ranks. Maybe a +1 atk boost every other weap level, and a +1 to crit and hit every level? You'd end up w/ +3 might and +5 hit and crit, a little better than the normal S-rank bonus, but since the weapon doesn't have any inherent might, it's prolly not that big a deal.
I dunno, I sorta feel like such a thing hardly matters.
Trace Stratus - July 8, 2007 05:55 AM (GMT)
You make a point. I forgot the bonus of a S rank weapon skill. If the admins actually consider making this I look into it and see if more bonus's are required to balance it out.
Evesgallion - July 8, 2007 06:14 AM (GMT)
If Admins consider this then I'll be removing Eve from my team... most likely
Trace Stratus - July 8, 2007 06:57 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I would also remove one of my characters or just remke them as a unarmed combatant. :P (wish they didn't take monk...can't just say that...)
Esgalglinion - July 8, 2007 04:17 PM (GMT)
I think it is interesting, I'm just not sure it will be added to the rules. >_<
Trace Stratus - July 8, 2007 04:19 PM (GMT)
Well if it doesn't gather any attention here I'll just post it in the staff forums. :P
