Okay, I'ma get one within a few days because I'm going on vacation soon and god forbid I sit in the car for 7 hours doing nothing. X_X

So, what games do you guys recommend.

I'm almost certainly getting Mario Kart DS.

Casey suggests that I should get Advanced Wars and Pokemon but I unno. :o

Go for FFIII. You can never go wrong with Final Fantasy. If not, go with Kaden's ideas. Those are solid picks. Or go for Brain Age. THere are so many choices, but I really can't talk, for I don't OWN a DS. <_<

Lades - July 13, 2007 07:12 PM (GMT)
Starfox
Advance Wars
Pokemon
Mario 64

I'd def grab Mario Kart, but a few other good ones I believe are

Custom Robo Arena
Tetris (Pretty fun for me when I get bored doin nothing)
Advance Wars
Mario Kart

Those are the main ones I'd suggest that Im pretty sure you'd enjoy. Not too sure about Tetris, but Custom Robo Arena and Advance Wars are very enjoyable for a nice number of people. Im only listing these because you cant really do much of any online play in a car, I added Mario Kart to the list though. Not sure why exactly, I think its main entertainment comes from playing it online. As for FF3, I tried it for awhile after I bought it and didnt really like it much myself. Starfox I read bad reviews of for online play, but not sure overall how it is myself. Mario 64 was a very big meh for me because I already owned it for the Nintendo 64, and only real new things in it are the four new characters, I didnt find it very interesting myself. Pokemon I've heard good things about from a number of friends, so I think it would probably be fairly entertaining.

As for Custom Robo and Advance Wars, Custom Robo has an entertaining 1 player mode til you finish the story, then you want to get all the parts for online play. But its entertaining, I can tell you that much. Its a fighting game where you basically customize your own robot with different parts to fight with, and I think it is pretty good. Advance Wars is a turn based strategy which is also very good in my opinion. Nice one player mode for the time it lasts, but once again I think the real enjoyment comes out of the multiplayer.

I'd make other suggestions, but I cant make too many based on the fact that I liked a few games that got some bad reviews apparently (Like Chocobo Tales). So thats all I really have to suggest or add as input for now really.

Pretty much anything multiplayer on wifi is nice.

Esgalglinion - July 13, 2007 07:47 PM (GMT)
Personally, I'd get an R4 card.

However:
Castlevania
Advance Wars
Elite Beat Agents (though that might be a bit difficult to play in a car)
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attourney
Pokémon <_<

Those the other fellas recommended you are good additions as well.

There's a whole series, the GC being the first released in the US. I don't think it's a sequal though.

Castlevania games (Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin) are pretty sweet in a number of ways.

It isnt a sequel story wise, but I suppose you could call it that game play wise. The only annoying thing about the DS with the game is you have to clean your robo with a stylus once in awhile, which Im assuming they just put that in so there would be something in the game that uses the touch screen. In actuality its just something annoyin you have to do that no one enjoys.
