I already asked a few people this - thank you guys for trying.
Okay... so my mother's computer crashed, and naturally, she lost everything. One thing she lost that she REALLY wants back is sound/audio. What would we have to do to get that back? Anyone know?

My only suggestion would be system restore. I bet that's already been suggested though.

Kaden, I think the system's already been reformatted. Puff, what you want to do is install new sound drivers. Just search for 'em on the interwebs.

Finally got it - after about three or four hours... something with going deeper into the computer than I'v ever been before - it was scarey.
