Title: Is it just me?
sara13987 - August 15, 2007 04:51 PM (GMT)
Every time I log on FEW... practically every time I click on a topic or the index, I get a pop-up. Not a FEW one, but one from my virus-scanner-thing. It claims that there's an exploit virus, which I should move to some vault or whatever. The thing is, the virus is always the same. Is this encoded in someone's sig, part of FEW altogether, or just some glitch in my system?
Thanks.

I have no idea? Never experienced it.

It hasn't happened to me, either. :/ Try figuring out who's posting on each page that the popups show up in.
My guess, personally? Those playlists might be a culprit. *Shrug*

It's not happeing to me. Most likely a glitch in your computer.

The only similar thing that's happened to me is the last 2 times I opened up the Beach House topic, it's opened more nonstop windows until my compy froze. :(

It's from all that pr0n Kaden, I just hope Sara didn't get whatever it is that way too
Anyways, I haven't gotten any pop ups from FEW ever, besides the PM one =\

All the advertisements I'm seeing right now on the top and bottom of the pages say "Don't click unless you are over 18." Seems suspicious to me.

You have spyware. If you try to remove it, it will stick itself right back in your system. You're going to need some kind of powerful spyware remover, or you'll have to restart your computer to they day before you started seeing the pop-ups. It's spyware, I've had it before, I don't know why the hell it's legal, but it is, and all you can do is try to remove it.

Just like Hyper said, you probably need to reset your computer to the last "safe" day you had. It's cheaper than getting a powerful spyware remover that works. Just press F8 (I think) hen the computer is starting up, then choose uh...I can't help further than that, since I don't know the phrases for english computers. >_>

Download CCleaner. It really helps. :/
