Title: Been thinking about forums...

SeverIan. - August 27, 2007 12:07 AM (GMT)
The best posts are those which are so boring and useless that not only do people not care about them, they don't care about them enough to make comments about how little they care about the subject and have discussions about how pointless things are.

Sorta like this:
QUOTE
It is daring to invite comparison with Wolfe, and sometimes a bit embarrassing. For instance, when Zindell lists all the different kinds of bars in one district of the city of Neverness, he ends the list by saying, "Somewhere -- and why not? -- there is a bar for those wishing to talk about what is occurring in all the other bars." Such anticlimax -- such an obvious punchline. Wolfe would surely have done a double-twist, like "A bar for those who believe there are no bars, and another for those who believe there are bars, but do not believe anyone has ever seen one."

EDIT: PERHAPS IT MIGHT BE NOTED that this is NOT a shameless advertisement of a favorite work of mine in the field of science fiction.

EDIT EDIT: But it is shamelessly advertising a fictionally scientific work in the field of science fiction which is, by me, considered a favorite.

...You know thinking is banned in the U.S.

He is saying that he is advertising is favorite fictional scientific work which is in science fiction, although he first denied he was advertising it.

Kip, you are excluding the possibility of people being on the other side of the globe, which would make them not subject to US laws you fool.

I think I did a pretty good job there :)

As for what I said, after reading it I decided that what I said might be interpreted as "I'm advertising a book I wrote" and decided to reword it and admit it.

Truth be told, I only thought of the sci-fi stuff after I did the original little blurb. Naming my main character Ahira was my actual attempt to shamelessly advertise it.

If you hang around here long enough, you'll learn "near native fluency." But I was born speaking like this.

Eww imagine a little baby spewing the stuff I say.

It'd be... quite frightening, I'd imagine. o.o

Yeah, I suppose your right...I did assume there.

SeverIan. - August 27, 2007 04:34 AM (GMT)
It's not your assuming things that I have a problem with. After all, assuming things is fine, since you can't make an ass out of u and me w/ assuming. An ass out of u and ming? But exclusion is wrong. DON'T EXCLUDE BLACK PEOPLE!

Then show me the error of my ways.

Well, I looked for Error of Kipdog's Ways on google image search. Didn't get any results, but when I did the corrected version (error of kiplog's ways) I got that picture.

Thank you Sev. Now I can start working to be a better person.
