MSN sucks. I personally like the program, but as I turned on my computer, I found a lovely error message telling me that the folder C:/........../Windows Live Contacts/shadow(?) was corrupt. Run chkdsk utility. After which, I ran the utility, it told me there was corruption, and it can't be run in read-only mode.

just force it to be deleted and re-install it, that always goes faster for me. The only time I couldn't do that was when the application was password protected and it wouldn't let me access it unless I had a password (which I had forgotten), in which case I had to completely destroy everything on my machine and rebuild the entire thing basically.

After that I switched to mac ^_^.

Get Trillian. That's my advice, anyway.

I think Alex used to tell me to get Trillian all the time. It worked out pretty well for me but I hardly use it anymore.

Bwahahaha! Okies, first, I had to restart compy and get a patch for registry. Then I had to scan and repair the chkdsk utility, then I repaired for 1 hour. Turns out MSN just was the first thing to show symptoms, lol. The hard drive had corrupted sectors.

thats one of the few things I hate about technology, there is always a corruption somewhere.
