Well, according to DiabloII.net, it will be announced this Saturday...if any of you are half the Blizzard fans I am, I'm sure you're dying to get your hands on this game. I can't wait to see what details come out Saturday.

Are you sure its true? They talk about it all the time but its usually fake or hopeless dreaming.

If its true then I'll have more to do than modding Diablo 2 for a new experience. ;P

Well, they claim its an inside source, so we'll have to wait till Saturday to see...although they have a high end Blizz employee who has said there will def. be a game announced, so the way I see it its got to be D3, Warcraft 4, or maybe a World of Starcraft type game....I think D3 is most likely out of those.

I sure hope so because Hellgate London does not fill the void of a Diablo 3. There's enough Warcraft already and Starcraft needs to finish 2 before they go further so it better be Diablo.

But like, the way I see this whole thing is that the Prime Evil's are dead. The Worldstone was destroyed and the forces of hell were supposedly stopped dead, so what the hell are they gonna do? That and even if they do announce they're releasing the game how friggin' long will this one take? 2 years? 4? Blizzard sucks for that kinda crap.

So, does anyone know whether this will play like the other diablo games? Or will it be another MMORPG like WOW?

Gameplay video suggests a traditional Diablo feel, although a town is never shown, so they could have pulled the blinds over our eyes...

And Dur, there are still four lesser evils that were close to as powerful as the prime evils, and Tyreal said that he destroyed the worldstone to prevent demons from swarming, but is never been mentioned what really changed because of it. ((And, if you read the books, you find out that it had zero to do with things coming from hell. It actually was built to prevent the humans becoming stronger than demons and/or angels.))

Could of sworn it was mentioned somewhere that their was some force stronger than the Prime Evils; something like the true leader of the Hells and the Prime Evils were its generals.

Ya, that'd be Necron. Or Zeromus. Or Ultimecia. Or Atma. Or the Mana Beast. Or the dragon god which just turns out to be Lavos after all. Or Orsted. Or some other last minute final fantasy villain.

I mean jesus christ. In final fantasy I the final villain is some inconsequential traitor knight who got turned into some superpowered supercrazy order-eating badass. Garland was such a wuss at the start, why did they choose HIM to be the ultimate evil?

I don't know if anyone else has been trying to keep up on this but they've posted a couple things on the blizzard site. I have to say the whole witch doctor thing kinda seems weird but I'm so pumped to play this game, it seems like they improved the controls/interface SO much.

Also on the site they have a bunch of Cain's journals and a bunch of entries from some other guy, but it gives a cool look into Sanctuary.

Anyone have anything to add? Speculations on classes maybe?

The Witch Doctor seems to be a mix of a Fire Sorceress, Curse Necromancer, and Summoning Druid. The style is unique though and I wouldn't mind giving it a try.

I've read all that they've posted so far. They haven't updated though from the last time I checked. T.T Isn't the release date Winter 2009? Or was is 2010?
