Title: Thoughts on the Burning Legion
SeverIan. - July 5, 2008 03:12 AM (GMT)
Although the burning legion exists, it's questionable how long it can be maintained. Considering the vast amount of resources they've squandered in trying to take over a backwater planet, the consistent incompetence of the leaders, the failures and betrayals of their proxy agents...even if they do take over, they're clearly pretty run down at this point anyway. As an agency of evil and despair, they're looking rather outdated and outclassed. As a supreme army of destruction and terror, they're not showing much pizazz. Much like hell, their muddled model for either destruction or complete domination is being revealed as the sham it is. After all, if you spend the whole time burning and pillaging without actually building up an infrastructure or trustworthy leaders, how is your power going to be stable? I mean, just look at them, they're a bunch of craven demons, their operation is probably rife with embezzlement, backstabbing, and the like. Without the driving personality of a madman like Sargeras, one has to wonder if they're going to get anywhere anytime. If you look at things over the long term, one has to wonder whether their real enemy is bold warriors, ancient druids, out-of-control creations, or the danger of the Felguard going on strike for better wages. In short, the Burning Legion is one of the few organizations whose problems don't ultimately lead back to global warming.
In comparison, I'm pretty worried about the centaurs raiding my kodo flock. I've seen the bastards eyeing it eagerly.

Well the Burning Legion is sure of its incompetence and intelligence shows they will be conspiring with the Legion of Doom to take over the world. Their base will be in a lake.

Lake? I hope you mean swamp. Swamps are unbelievably more evil than lakes, and the Burning Legion of Doom is nothing if not evil.

Yeah well the only swamp left in Azeroth is the swamp of sorrows...and lets face it that has far too many horde there. Its like an alliance on a PvP server goin there and walking into stonard. Far too obvious.

Well just be careful about where they settle down. I guess the burning legion deserves a place like everyone else, but I don't want them harming any local ecosystems. Murlocs, kobolds, and the like are all very important to the environment and demonic concubines tend to skin just about anything into a skimpy leather bikini to impress their lords. And as far as I'm concerned they can forget about having their infernal fires consuming the souls of sinners for eternity if they're not willing to pay their electricity bills. Most sinners only need about 3 hours of eternal damnation a day.

Im sure they are considerate enough to not bother any wildlife, they have proven so before. Hell, they seem to work with the wildlife if a chance comes up, never once getting into a fight with any of the species in a particular area.

So maybe this is the murlocs' chance to destroy humanity once and for all and bring peace back to mother earth?

They have been trying...but to no avail. They just keep getting slaughtered by the two factions...not that it matters seen as there appears to be no end to their numbers.

The burning legion are pretty much a bunch of n00bs. They don't realize that whenever harry potter decides, he could destroy them all and bring them back if he so chooses.

Seen as we are talking about warcraft... 70 resto druid pvp is fun as hell.

Meh, then you could say that about every class in wow.

Actually Kipdog even though NE have given up immortality I am pretty sure their lifespans are still very long compared to a humans, such that in the years since WOW came out it could probably be said that no NE character has actually aged or gotten old.
(Well I never played WOW so if there are any NEs which start out "aged" like some sort of old hoary druid then that would be an exception. But I would find it hard to consider some bikini clad archer to be "old.")
