dark menace - November 3, 2004 12:53 AM (GMT)
I live in a Republican county, there are few Kerry supporters (those who do support him happen to be the smart people)

dark menace - November 3, 2004 01:58 AM (GMT)

Yeah, I'm not a patriotic kind of guy. If someone else wants me to go die for him and he wasn't willing to do the same for me, then I just won't respect him enough to listen to him.

We are going to have a draft, no wait, no we're not!

dark menace - November 3, 2004 02:01 AM (GMT)
I'm not going to risk my life for something I don't believe in. I'd have fought in WW2 if I was born then, but this is not anything like that, or any other war we've fought in before

Not looking good for Kerry

none of the battleground states have been counted yet, and they haven't added cali yet

dark menace - November 3, 2004 02:04 AM (GMT)
I meant florida isn't looking very promising, and thats big, we're talking 27 E points

Durendal - November 3, 2004 02:06 AM (GMT)
hmmm not looking great for kerry. altho i dont live in america so a draft doesn't affect me either way, and bush looks out for the white male (me) so really i dont care haha. honestly NOTHING a canadian politician could do to piss me off more would be to pay for commercials, when i'm older i'm gonna vote for the quiet guy.

dark menace - November 3, 2004 02:08 AM (GMT)
FC's right though in a way, we haven't counted cali or NY yet, soo....

dark menace - November 3, 2004 02:16 AM (GMT)
Provided Kerry keeps Cali and NY, he'll need 72 more points. If he can get Penn, it'll be 51. He's in the lead there by 30 something % but only 4% has been counted so far.... he has to keep it!!!

Esgalglinion - November 3, 2004 06:55 AM (GMT)
Bah.Have you've ever thought how dangerous Bush actually are? Now,if the world would be able to choose too,it would be Kerry,as because of a poll that was made, only three countries out of one heck of many would majorly vote for Bush. Can't remember which though, but Sweden wasn't one of them.In Sweden,I haven't heard a single person say "Vote Bush.".Here he is regarded as the evil and Kerry as the good.

Esgalglinion - November 3, 2004 02:24 PM (GMT)
Bush:254 Elector Votes
Kerry:252 Elector Votes

Remaining states:
Ohio:20 Elector Votes
New Mexico:5 Elector Votes

To be able to win you need over 270 elector votes. To make it easy, whoever gets Ohio wins.

Edit:I'm not yet sure, but it seems Kerry withdrew, making Bush victor. That's sad,in my opinion.

Durendal - November 3, 2004 05:14 PM (GMT)
yeah Bush is the President of the United States of America.

Lionheart - November 3, 2004 06:22 PM (GMT)
......bashing bush...tsk tsk tsk...why couldnt any of you "smart" bush bashers debate me in the kerry/bush topic? all you do is spew your hatred, and ignore facts....

1.the draft will not come about..there are way too many politicans against it.

2. kerry voted for the war in iraq. he was on the senate inteligence commitee so he had all the info that bush had.

3.kerry said a couple months ago "knowing what i know now, i would have voted for the war"

4.listen to the swift boat veterans. they where there. kerry isnt the only one who deserves to be listened to.

5.kerry is one of the top 3 liberals in the senate(er...he used to be in the senate)

6.kerry voted against the bill that would give our troops body armor.

7.kerry said he believes that life begins at conseption...but he doesnt believe in making it illegal to kill that life...

i would proudly serve my country. in fact im planning on it....even if there are alot of you who will probably hate me for keeping the usa safe....
if you would dodge the draft...when your country needs you...you $%^& @$$.....

<edit>it also appears that the GOP has picked up 3 more senate seats...2 still undecided. </edit>

Esgalglinion - November 3, 2004 07:20 PM (GMT)
It isn't because of Kerry I wanted him there.I wanted Bush away.I let everyone have their opinions, but don't ever call me stupid, bubba.

Oh,want to know something random?Kerry and Bush might be distant relatives.

Durendal - November 3, 2004 08:05 PM (GMT)
Honestly if there was a draft i would pity you all, fortunatly i live in canada and if there was a draft every male over 18 who didn't want to go would just kick the <blocked> out of whomever told them to go haha. our army is so poor. we're like americas little brother Canada: HEY AMERICA WHERE ARE YOU GOING!? America:I'm going to war. Canada: Can i come too!? America:GOD NO! Canada: if you dont let me come i'm gonna tell Britan!! America:FINE! you can be....the peace keepers! and thats how canada got our jobs as the wusses of the world.

1. If the trend we have keeps up and Bush does more of the same like he has been so far and intends to do, its not going to matter what politicians say unless we decide to surrender, something Bush cannot do after all he has said

2. He also said "As a last resort" Bush went in without a plan to win the peace, without International assistance, therefore sacrificing more American lives than needed

3. Same as 2

4. I did, at the Democratic National Convention (yes, I went there live, one of my uncles is a delegate)

5. Which means he isn't afraid to change a plan if it doesn't go right

6. After the tax breaks Bush gave, and the major loss of jobs, we wouldn't afford body armor all that well

7. You're talking about abortion, are you? Its the mother's choice of what she wants to do with the baby when it is still in the period in her. Think of it this way: A teenage girl was raped by a drunken <blocked>, causing mental and emotional damage. She wants to get rid of her rapist's baby so she doesn't have to bear any more pain than she already has; thanks to Bush's law though, she can't. Laws are for everyone, not selected people

I would proudly serve my country too, if it was actually helping my country stay safe. Iraq holds no terrorists (or any bombs, LH) that could hurt our country. They are Iraq's problem. Thats a problem who's responsibility should be spread throughout the U.N., not just America

"1. If the trend we have keeps up and Bush does more of the same like he has been so far and intends to do, its not going to matter what politicians say unless we decide to surrender, something Bush cannot do after all he has said"

huh? what has that got to do with the draft? so far they are easily meeting recruting needs.

"2. He also said "As a last resort" Bush went in without a plan to win the peace, without International assistance, therefore sacrificing more American lives than needed "

we have more nations with us, going into iraq. then we had in ww2.

"4. I did, at the Democratic National Convention (yes, I went there live, one of my uncles is a delegate)"

what do you think about them?

"5. Which means he isn't afraid to change a plan if it doesn't go right"

that what liberal means?

"6. After the tax breaks Bush gave, and the major loss of jobs, we wouldn't afford body armor all that well"

can we never afford protection for our troops? they deserve the very best.
loss of jobs? lol....how many ppl do you know personally that lost their job? i don't know anyone. in feb the jobless rate was 5.6%...wow....

what was banned was partial birth abortion. that is when the baby is killed just as it is being birthed. also how likely is a girl to get pregnant when she is raped? go find the numbers.......

"I would proudly serve my country too, if it was actually helping my country stay safe. Iraq holds no terrorists (or any bombs, LH) that could hurt our country. They are Iraq's problem. Thats a problem who's responsibility should be spread throughout the U.N., not just America"

U.N....who backs the bill? da americans.....and how are you to judge if it would serve your country? you do not have the information...to make a informed decision. by the time everyone had made up their minds, it would be too late.

no terrorists? what are you seeing now? they are not all iraq's messing things up...

what about the U.N resolution which they refused to reinforce for 12? years.

what about the other nations with troops in iraq?

we still have troops over in japan and germany....maybe we should'nt have bothered with them....

dark menace - November 3, 2004 10:37 PM (GMT)
1,000 Americans were killed in a year. That was BEFORE they stole, how much was it? like 36 something tons of explosives, and one pound of them can take out a large plane. The death tole is only going to go up, and sooner or later, we'll need to have a draft .

33 nations, 2 who don't have an army, and we have easily the majority of the people in Iraq

They were a bit crazy; shows what war does to you

From M-W.com, BROAD-MINDED; especially not bound by authoritarianism, orthodoxy, or traditional forms

The best would have been to send them into war with an actual plan

First Pres. in 72 years to lose jobs in the US....

What if you realized your baby had a hereditary gene you didn't know about before that could make her/him miserable? And there is always a possibility, don't take chances with things like that.

In my opinion I would only serve in a war that I believed was indeed A LAST RESORT, not the second to last, THE VERY LAST; and if people's lives were being threatened, like in the Holocaust, where killing off one person wouldn't solve a problem like if we had killed Saddam Hussien with a special team

What terrorists in Iraq? Alquida and 9/11 have nothing to do with Iraq....

Don't know about that, explain?

I answered that above....

Maybe we should, maybe we shouldn't; its not my call

Shadow we had this "woman" come in and she is the child of a rapist who raped her mother, she talked to us about safe gender...
