What do you all think is some of the best anime ever made?

I like FLCL and Evangelion, they both have deep meaning, awsome character development, and good animation. I'd like to hear you all's opinion though.

If DBZ is anime... then that used to be good!

i'm not sure, since no one bothers explaining what anime is!

Ick, I hate DBZ. They act like people dissapearing and alot of sounds is good fighting.

DB was good DBZ was alright but GT is just weird, i dunt even follow it anymore.

anime is kindof like ...cartoons?

Anime is basically cartoons made in Japan that have a certain style of artwork, like Rurouni Kenshin or the like. DBZ had a weak storyline in my opinion that consisted of only people breaking there limits over and over, and all of the characters look generally the same.

They might've looked the same, but their personalities are so different! The best part of DBZ is it's character development. And how the good guys always win ^_^ I hate that dark junk.

Well that's what it's supposed to be but it's not, basically a bunch of guys with black spikey hair stand crouched grunting for like thirty minutes and then their hair turns yellow somehow, and they claim to have become super powerfull, and then they utter some stupid corny catch phrases, and then everyone dissapears, and the one that reappears is the winner.

You know that had to be a run-on sentence.

But there are rarely any non-fighting episodes.

FLCL is good because it has absolutly no filler, it's six episodes.

That's because the character development takes place whilleee their fighting :P

The character development doesn't seem that good to me, Goku seems to be the same always, he doesn't change. Vegeta changes a bit I guess, but they all seem to basically be the same.


Filler is pointless scenes added to a show to make it longer.

Goku is I guess... he does get angry sometimes though... and he's not supposed to... does that count?

And Piccolo goes from being evil to Goku-friendly...

And Tien goes from main character to non-exhistant...

And Gohan goes from cool kid to nerdy teenager...

I also don't like how they make the Saiyans better in every way than all of the other ones, this makes any character in this show that I was actually interested in redundant because they are weak and this show is only fighting. It also means nothing when a character dies in this show, because they can just be wished back. Nothing ever goes wrong, there is no suspense for me.

Mm... I guess. Poor humans...

Still it's [deleted because I can't believe I just said it] when Goku and Vegeta fuse and kick Buu's donkey... :P

The Buu saga was the lamest of them all in my opinion.

That was cool. The Frieza saga was the best of them all. But after that it went downhill.

Scooorrreee!!! Your right though, come to think of it.... both Cell AND Buu just reform over and over... I thought it was a little weird though that Frieza had like so many forms and then his final form he was like "oh I'm only using 1% of my power"

Yeah I guess, but the Frieza saga was actually suspensful. And the supersaiyan was cool then, but then after that supersaiyan became gay.

Rurouni Kenshin is great!
Tri-gun is ok great story and characters.
Cowboy bebop is amazing and the character and story lines are Deep.
Evangelion NG is great! i love the characters, "Vehicles" and everything!
Full Metal Alchemist is amazing!
FLCL was good but they cancled it...which was gay..i liked the story and the episode when they all had the mac-10 B-B guns.

^You have pretty much the same taste in anime as I do. I have FLCL on dvd, I've seen it countless times.

Yup yup! me too! I love FLCL...the first time i saw the robot pop out of his head i was hooked.
