Title: Own Weapons

Lord Of The End Times - March 1, 2005 12:37 AM (GMT)
what if we were able to create our own weapons using stats to divide for a weapon. like this

you have 50 points
weapons weight is equal to own con
this is a starter weapon
rank to use is PRF, i.e. can only be used by you on any level
each point on hit is multiplied by 5, max 20 points
each point on power equals 1, max 20
each point on criticle equals 1, max 35
each point on usage equals 2 uses
you get an extra point for adding 1 weight to the weapon, max weight 20

this means you can make somthing like
(current con 10)
usage 20/20
weight 15
hit 100
power 15
crit 10

well that's just a rough idea, maybe there should be different limits to different weapons, or maybe you can use more points or somthing. i want to make special abilities that can cost points to have, but i couldn't be bothered

strikeraider827 - March 1, 2005 12:41 AM (GMT)
it's somewhat a good idea... I like it...

Karn - March 1, 2005 12:42 AM (GMT)
It would be better if each point to crit was equel to two, or maybe every two points is equel to three.

Witch Hunter - March 1, 2005 12:53 AM (GMT)
hmm, seems like a good way for me to make a sniper rifle, old one ofcourse
(con 9)
usage 30
weight 20
hit 100
power 20
crit 12

what if you could cut your power in half for brave weapon ability

Lord Of The End Times - March 1, 2005 01:18 AM (GMT)
hmm, maybe it should be rank A to use the weapon, do't want you taking out people who are on a bunch of higher levels

Lionheart - March 1, 2005 01:29 AM (GMT)
it looks like a good idea...course some rpg Admin needs to refine/approve it....

Kipdog - March 1, 2005 01:54 AM (GMT)
for brave ability, how about theres a forgery or something, and you forge certain parts to get certain abilties like

speed stone-gives your own weapon brave sword abiity

Firecross - March 1, 2005 02:38 AM (GMT)
there should be a forgery you have to buy a card to get into, and you should only be able to have one custom wep at a time

Karn - March 1, 2005 02:45 AM (GMT)
I had the idea of a forgery a while ago but it's abusable unless I really refine the system. I think I'll do it now that people agree to it. It will be expensive though.

Fifth Fang - March 1, 2005 02:53 AM (GMT)
yeah, like to buy the weapon, it would cost money...
lots of it.

Lord Of The End Times - March 1, 2005 11:37 PM (GMT)
maybe to prevent people getting weapons that are all almost the same there should be limits

Sword
Usage 30
Power 12
Hit 100
Crit 35
Weight 12

Lance
Usage 30
Power 15
Hit 80
Crit 35
Weight 15

Axe
Usage 30
Power 20
Hit 70
Crit 35
Weight 20

Bows
Usage 30
Power 12
Hit 90
Crit 35
Weight 15

this is only a rough guess of maximums
and ofcourse there's the magic types but i don't really use it nore care for it.

Kyrillos - March 1, 2005 11:40 PM (GMT)
Tomes too.

Anima:30
Light:30
Dark:30

Kipdog - March 1, 2005 11:55 PM (GMT)
Well me have quite a bit of money.

Lord Of The End Times - March 2, 2005 12:04 AM (GMT)
i intended it to be a starter weapon, not a bought one

Axem Titanium - March 2, 2005 01:19 AM (GMT)
Moved to Requests/Complaints for further discussion.

Gatemaster Leon - March 2, 2005 03:00 AM (GMT)
perhaps..... once you get the Platinum Card, you can get a custom weapon forged for you, cost would be up to the shop owner, depending on the weapons power, accuracy, ect.

Lionheart - March 2, 2005 03:06 AM (GMT)
i actually like the idea of giving a certain amount of points to divide between stats...but making it a inherent weapon taht you start with.

Esgalglinion - March 2, 2005 06:48 PM (GMT)
Hm.I don't like the idea that you would have to buy it.Perhaps having it as starter weapon, with a usage amount, and whenever it would break, you'd have to pay to get it fixed. That way,you would start with the weapon, but not overuse it due to that you would have to pay to get it fixed.

As for a calculation for the weapon, all weapon could have starting stats, and that you would then get an amount of points to make it better, give it a special effect etc.

Kipdog - March 2, 2005 10:24 PM (GMT)
I say purchase it. And besides we should add this later when we get a few more people like promoted first then consider adding it.

Kojiro - March 4, 2005 01:12 AM (GMT)
Katana
Uses-20 - 10 points
Power- 8 - 8 points
Accuracy-70 - 12 points
Critical-20 - 20 points
Weight-11
Skill Level-D
Range-1
Effect-Swordsman Only

Yay, Katanas.

Kojiro - March 4, 2005 01:17 AM (GMT)
We need more points, or, 1 point in critical make 2.

EDIT: Or, more points for Weapon LEvel needed.

Lord Of The End Times - March 4, 2005 01:18 AM (GMT)
maybe there should even be a minimum for the weapons. hmm, getting the weapon repaired is good

there should be a tiny rule that you need to put an asterix* next to the weapon name so judges don't get confused

lets say i make a second profile called Vengeance, and i decide to give him Hammeraine (you know that 3 use stave that repairs weapons) as his starter weapon, am i allowed to do that, or for that matter, use it to repair my weapon

Kojiro - March 4, 2005 01:21 AM (GMT)
50 - Prf
40 - E
50 - D
55 - C
60 - B
65 - A
70 - S

Lord Of The End Times - March 4, 2005 04:16 AM (GMT)
usually the Prf weapons are the best when you get them. maybe you should be able to use them only after promotion. it's probaly worth the wait

hmm, 70 points, that means you could make a weapon like
Usage: 30
Power: 20
Hit: 100
Crit: 5
(using the rules at the start)
though i do relise that they will be expensive

Omega X - March 4, 2005 08:48 AM (GMT)
Perhaps When making a character They have like 175 weapon points to spend on making there own weapon and each day you earn 1 more.
allowing you to craft weapons at a craft shop. Only a theriy and there is a point spending restiction that decides E D C B A OR S RANKED WEAPON.

Alanis Macratz - March 4, 2005 03:35 PM (GMT)
The starting weapon points should be linked to the skill lvl required, so if u make a S-Level weapon u would gain more points. Plus, there should be abilities to buy, like Nosferatu effect, Brave effect, Effective against X, maybe even a Luna effect. The maximum number of abilities should be restricted by the Skill lvl again, so if u want a nice weapon u should have to wait to use. Plus, several ailities would make your weapon a bit weaker, wich would make people not abuse on abilities. And the idea of having to pay whenever it breaks is VN, it could be Skill lvl dependent too.
Could be like this:

E: 40 points - no abilities - 1000 gold each repair
D: 45 points - no abilities - 2500 gold each repair
C: 50 points - 1 ability - 4000 gold each repair
B: 55 points - 1 ability - 8000 gold each repair
A: 60 points - 2 abilities - 13000 gold each repair
S: 70 points- 2 abilities + 1 effective against free - 20000 gold each repair

I put that prices that high because repairing an unique weapon is surely stingy
Plus, the abilities should be between 5 and 10 points.
Well, that is my opinion.

Fifth Fang - March 4, 2005 06:10 PM (GMT)
thats pretty good.

Durendal - March 4, 2005 06:13 PM (GMT)
why not make it 75 points, and its Prf so you can't trade it.

Ex:

Wep type:Anima
Usage:30 (15 points)
Hit:115 (-23 points)
Dmg: 15 (-15 points)
Crit:15 (-15 points)
Weight:10 (+10 points)

Luna ability
effective against Light
effective against swords
1 ability+1 effective against

So this weapon gets an extra 10 points for the weight and since its anima is automaticly effective against light.

and the the abilities would cost extra points

Ex:

Abilities 5 points each
effective against 2 points each

Fifth Fang - March 4, 2005 06:14 PM (GMT)
Why does the usage make it +15 points?

Durendal - March 4, 2005 06:42 PM (GMT)
i forgot the minus sign.

Fifth Fang - March 4, 2005 07:14 PM (GMT)
oh.

Killing Edge - March 5, 2005 12:32 AM (GMT)
I think making your own weapons would be a good idea. I could make a character named Ren, and give him a kwan dao...

Pwnage. ^_^

Míxtil_<3_fish! - March 5, 2005 12:33 AM (GMT)
indeedy. i think it's a goood idea, but level 15 and above only.

Killing Edge - March 5, 2005 12:34 AM (GMT)
No way. Not Lv. 15 and above. None of us (that I know of) are that high!!

And Ren has to use a kwan dao from the start. It's traditional for him.

Míxtil_<3_fish! - March 5, 2005 12:35 AM (GMT)
kipdog is.

how?

Omega X - March 5, 2005 08:33 AM (GMT)
Hmmmmmm come to think of it
Its quite easy to cheat on this site

Míxtil_<3_fish! - March 5, 2005 12:09 PM (GMT)
how so?
