If your Def and Res is high like my guys, and your battling someone who you win the weapon triangle against, and the damage is 1, becuase of the weapon triangle, they don't do damage?

If I am understanding you correctly, that is correct.
For example:
Guy one has 10 strength and is using iron sword.
Guy two has 14 defense and is using iron lance.
Guy one does no damage then.

Actually, I believe, there was a rule made up not so long ago about this. He gets one damage. You can't have 0 in arena battles, I think.

That was changed at reset. It's in the rules if I am not mistaken. 0 damage is 0 damage.

well then if he did 0 damage, and its -1 then he heals you for every damage?

If the effective damage done is 0, then the target loses 0 HP.
No, of course not. Why in the world would you heal?

A thought but if these unit's healed during battle would there item equipped still be a weapon or the staff they used saying they used a staff.
