Title: Consider yourself lucky?
Fifth Fang - June 26, 2005 04:46 AM (GMT)
do you consider yourself lucky and fortunate?
why?
(serious answers, please)
Ryouhei - June 26, 2005 04:57 AM (GMT)
I didn't consider myself that when I was young because negative things happened but now I do think that.
Dragon_Tam3r - June 26, 2005 05:19 AM (GMT)
im lucky about stuff i don't care about, and when i really want something to happen, i have bad luck
Ryouhei - June 26, 2005 06:14 AM (GMT)
haha. that happens to me sometimes too. especially when it comes to friends
Nate - June 26, 2005 07:07 AM (GMT)
I'm lucky with my GF but other than that I've always seemed to say/do/act the wrong thing/way at the time being but when it comes to love it seems I can never get her to stop blushing about what I say about her... So ya I guess
Ryouhei - June 26, 2005 07:18 AM (GMT)
i like it when they blush ^^;; it's cute
Bolt - June 26, 2005 08:04 AM (GMT)
I have lucky days-like when Pent criticalled on Limstella and wiped her out, and unlucky days, were I trip and go flying into the girl I fancy and knock her over. She hates me.
Míxtil_<3_fish! - June 26, 2005 10:20 AM (GMT)
hummm....i see myself as having a happy life. maybe its luck, maybe not.
AnimeGoddess2006 - June 26, 2005 06:03 PM (GMT)
Sometimes I get lucky, like when I get the topic I want for a stupid report in school (don't care about that at all), but I get unlucky a lot, like when my friends misunderstand me, or when some girl asks the guy I'm eyeing out. <_<

I know exactly what you mean.
I like to think I'm a lucky kid... I don't want to be one of those depressant losers going on about how much life sucks, blah blah blah. But, it could always be better ^_^
sara13987 - June 26, 2005 10:51 PM (GMT)
Depends on what you mean by "lucky". I've saved my own life a few times because of luck and fast action.
I like to think that I'm lucky. I mean, I'm really fortunate in many ways, like, I've got a loving family, lots of friends, I'm in good health, athletic, etc.
Also, I don't fall down much. Which can be a big thing, as I stumble and trip up alot. When I do fall, it's never on anyone, so they never get hurt.
Ryouhei - June 26, 2005 11:54 PM (GMT)
I don't stumble and trip a lot but people have been stepping on my pants lately so that makes me fall @_@
PlatinumPimp - June 27, 2005 03:19 AM (GMT)
yea i guess im pretty lucky i got lots of friends im very atheletic, and i good with girls.. but ive got bad luck in school and stuff like that
Ryouhei - June 27, 2005 09:24 AM (GMT)
then you and i are a lot alike platinum
LoZfan03 - July 8, 2005 05:07 PM (GMT)
lucky - yes
fortunate - no
I seem to have good luck with small drawings and such, but I wouldn't say that I'm fortunate
jordiwordi101 - July 8, 2005 06:37 PM (GMT)
I get lucky usually in school. Like when they hand me a test and the last question is what i need to pass the test. When I answer it happens to be right. (keep in mind i didn't know the answer) I get unlucky when i play sports. aiscool would know. Lozfan03 also. I suck sometimes in volleyball.
AnimeGoddess2006 - July 9, 2005 02:46 PM (GMT)
Yes...I get very unlucky sometimes. Like I was sick one day, but I still went to school. So, I went to PE class...and we were playing soccer, and I (still sick and kinda woozy) unluckily was kind of spacey and kicked the ball...into my own team's goal.
SUMMARY-Unlucky-being sick on the day you play soccer and kicking it into the other team's goal.
Missy_Roxx_Meh_Soxx - July 9, 2005 03:00 PM (GMT)
I'm ususlly lucky because I have lots of friends (Mostly Girls :P) and great grades. But I hate about 75% of my class, including ALL the guys and the "popular" girls.
AnimeGoddess2006 - July 9, 2005 03:01 PM (GMT)
Hmm...I guess I'm lucky with friends...mine couldn't get any better, but my class is "trouble." Heh, just kidding. Some of them, anyways. But the others-I luv 'em. Three classes in a row together with the same exact class can make you really close with them. But thank the lord, next year they are going to split the classes up more-thank you!
Missy_Roxx_Meh_Soxx - July 9, 2005 03:23 PM (GMT)
We're together 7 out of the 8 periods in the day!
AnimeGoddess2006 - July 9, 2005 03:26 PM (GMT)
We had four class periods altogether...we were together 3 out of 4 in the day.
@ FDRsA: You have a lot of periods. Twice as many as me!
But this doesn't have much to do with Luckiness. Back to the subject.
Sometimes I get lucky in school, like when I get the topic I want for a project. But sometimes I don't. Like in Comp Tech, I wanted Japan for my project, but the guy next to me immediately took it when he was randomly chosen before me. Gaah, and he kept reminding me that he had it too. "Ooh, look at this! The food looks so yummy! Look, look!"
Missy_Roxx_Meh_Soxx - July 9, 2005 03:28 PM (GMT)
They all have SERIOUS issues with themselves. The "popular" girls are obsessed with DORA THE EXPLORER. And more of them are obsessed with "Ruin-Your-LifeScape" (Otherwise known as RuneScape).
Nate - July 9, 2005 04:47 PM (GMT)
Well me and my GF and friends are in 6 to 7 of all our classes all together as one of my friends chose a differant elective than me.
AnimeGoddess2006 - July 9, 2005 10:40 PM (GMT)
Yes...(offtopic) my friends and I chose the same elective....but oh joy, we had it in different terms.

How old are these people? Aren't you a teenager? Are these girls your age? I babysit a FOUR YEAR OLD who watches Dora the Explorer. What is wrong with these "popular" girls? There's something wrong, for sure.
EDIT-I'm in a High School with like...2000 kids, I have plenty of friends who I never see during the day, except sometimes in lunch. I know one friend who took AP chem softamore year, though they normally offer only up to Honors for softamores, and he was with a bunch of seniors. I took Cisco, Levels 1 and 2, this year, and I was with a bunch of juniors and seniors. Next year, I've got three AP classes. Lot of tough stuff.
On the brightside, our school isn't too "clicky". We generally all get along well, even if we aren't good friends with every other person in the school.
In Middle School, though, there were only 75 kids in each grade, so we were all at least ok with each other. There weren't really popular/unpopular kids in the school.
EDIT-Oh, but I'm really unlucky when it comes to games of chance. In card games and stuff, I always get the worst hands, and in Fire Emblem (as an example) I've seen characters miss twice with 99 hit rates very often.

Let's see...well, the kids at my school aren't obsessed with Dora the Explorar. That's just wrong. Anyways...but they do wear these backpacks with, like, Carebears and stuff. In middle school. So weird. Anyway.
Back to the point...uh...yeah, like Mr. Bucket mentioned...my FE characters miss...with like...a 92 percent hit rate, or get put to sleep or poisened with a 10 or 15 percent chance of hitting. Unlucky.
KuraiKitsune - July 10, 2005 04:12 AM (GMT)
Oh, tell me about it. v.v I had faced a general once with Oswin, who was just promoted. At the time, I had the battle in the bag; Oswin would take away more than half the guy's HP, had 99 percent accuracy, and got to attack twice.
As for opposition, the general had a 1 percent chance of hitting me and 1 percent chance of actually doing a critical hit. I was fine.
Oswin hits with the first hit, and then guess what? The general wipes out Oswin with a critical attack. o.o Is that bad luck, or what?
Must not forget to mention Golden Sun... Dullahan, the secret boss of the game, has a summon called Charon, which has a 50% chance of instantly killing a foe. Now, the main party consists of four people. The chances of one or two dying are good, but look below to see my horrible luck...
First turn: Uses Charon, wipes out my main party.
Second Turn: Same as above. I was dead in two turns.
This happened some... twenty times, I think. x.x
Keith Colt - July 10, 2005 04:22 AM (GMT)
Ouch. I remember the first time I tried to kill Dullahan. Let's just say I'm not trying that again anytime soon...
I am fairly lucky when I need to be. Like the time I was playing FE7, on Chapter 28 I think. Y'know, the one with the vanishing platforms? Anyway, Guy got stuck on one of those, then his last sword broke. He had a 76% chance of being hit by a person that would kill him, and he survived for 6 turns! Giving me plenty of time to kill the boss of course. ^_^

What horrible luck.
Reminds me of the time a monster in FE8 came out of the fog unexpectedly and killed me with a, like, 2 chance of critical.

Was this on the ghost ship stage, by any chance?
As for Dullahan, I feel like the fact I was goaded into fighting him for the lousy Iris/Isis summon was pretty unlucky. Charon wasn't that great either. My favorite summon in that game is the "evil" version of judgement, I think it uses wind and fire djinn. That missle launching golem is also good.
Oh, I got really unlucky in Fire Emblem 4, or so I thought. Eltoshan with the Mistolteen has a gigantic chance to crit, and he's really strong so he has a good chance to kill people in one hit. The first time, he attacked and killed someone first round.
But then I had his sis talk to him, and he went away, after giving her a nice sword (not the mistolteen) and [SPOILERS]
Got executed for not killing my party. Sucks, but his son joined the party in the second half of the game, on of the best characters!

I believe so. I despise that chapter.
I had to work so hard on it. But now it's easy.
sara13987 - July 11, 2005 12:59 AM (GMT)
Actually, I'm starting to believe more and more than I'm lucky. I just finished playing cards with my family (don't ask), and I ended up getting so many good cards. Everyone I played with thinks I'm lucky, now.
And, I saw my first miss on 99 in FE today. Thankfully, the knight didn't kill Joshua.
SpiralStatic - July 11, 2005 02:40 AM (GMT)
I don't consider myself lucky or fortunate at all. First of all, I'm dirt poor, second of all, well, i have some luck with girls, i mean, I've been with 7 since the 7th grade (over the course of 3 years), the relationships never work out though ;_;, although there was one that lasted about 7 months... that one ended because we changed schools T_T.... and i do have some athletic ability at least, thank god i'm dominican... the only thing i consider myself fortunate about is my friends and family. Family for obvious reasons, and my friends, well, lets say you couldn't ask for better friends than i have without being a really selfish brat, in which case, you wouldn't get better friends.
sara13987 - July 11, 2005 04:09 PM (GMT)
Actually, Rey, I can tell that you're fortunate just by what you listed there. I saw an article on TV about the orphans in India, whose parents died in the tsunami. I wouldn't doubt that they'd give anything to have their parents back. And, you're also very fortunate to have such good friends.
PrinceLeaf - July 22, 2005 10:07 PM (GMT)
Kaden - July 22, 2005 10:10 PM (GMT)
Lucky... loving parents, nice house, everygame system pretty much, good friends, amazing musical talent (not including singing, mainly french horn, trumpet, and guitar... and some stuff with fruity loops), strong but not athletic, and I'm smart. But, I am kinda in the nerdy group...
Eaichu - July 23, 2005 04:09 AM (GMT)
Lucky.
Life is far too good for most people, whether they're aware of it or not.
Kaden - July 23, 2005 01:20 PM (GMT)
That's why I put lucky, I am far too lucky... unless it comes to girls *sigh*
Hana - August 4, 2005 12:08 PM (GMT)
half the time im lucky and other half im not
