The only way you could possibly make this argument would be to make a general, cover-all argument against taxes in general. To target this as a bad use of taxes is stupidity. Now, I don't think of the armed forces as protecting my freedoms in Iraq, but regardless of that, I don't think this guy has any clue of the right thing to do.
When someone goes off to war and is injured and whatever, we should do our best to compensate them. Regardless of what you think of the war, it's simply kind to help people who are hurt, even if they're in a job which guarantees many injuries. I don't like the war in Iraq, but hell, we may as well do our best there now, and the troops deserve our help. Maybe Fox thinks we need to do it in return for something. I dont' view the Iraq War as a favor to me, but the troops are people and they deserve our help. What an absolute jerk. If he doesn't like the troops, he should help them as people instead. Lets just bash his head in for completely not caring about other people.
