i recently put my king king parrot along w/ my mean male flowerhorn alone in a 55 gallon. They were both too mean so I put them together, i figure they can take it out on each other. To my surprise, after a long vacation, i took a look at the tank and there are a bunch of fry swimming around the parrot. The parrot would not let the flowerhorn come close to them. Question: are there any one out there that have fry or breed the combination? How do they look? Are they worth breeding? Look like parrot or flowerhorn? Any comments, please. Thanks
My flowerhorn is 10 inches and it has a huge head with red half the body w/ 2 dark marking on each side. I really thought that my flowerhorn would kill the parrot but the parrot I guess is the dominant one because she would push it away everytime it would come close to the frys.

You need to get really close to the tank and if possible use extra light from the top else it will be next to impossible to take the pictures of eggs.

so far so good. they are getting pretty big. they are the size of 2 rice pebble. the babies are still swimming w/ mom (parrot). dad doing ok but can't get near his kids. i've heard that sooner or later, the parents will end up eating the babies, right?? i've always had my previous frys in there own tank. any idea when i should remove the parents?
